Objectives: By the end of the lesson, pupils

1) Write in neat legible print with the
correct spelling
2) Create texts using a variety of media
with guidance (linear) and (non-linear)
Teaching Aids: secret codes, Crack the Code
messages, textbook
CCE/EE: Multiple Intelligences, Creativity
Activities:
1. Teacher shows a secret code (textbook
page 26) and explains to pupils what is
code language.
2. Pupils try to decipher the coded
phrases and sentences given in the
textbook.
3. Teacher gives out coded messages to
pupils. In groups, pupils decipher the
coded messages in write replies to the
teacher using the secret code
language.
4. Group presentation. Teacher asks
pupils to present the meaning of the
coded messages to the rest of the
class.
