Baptism Workshop
Are you planning a baptism for you or your child this spring? If so,
you are invited to our Baptism Workshop on Saturday, Feb 8 from
9-11am. This is a time set aside for learning what it means to be
baptized into the United Methodist Church, what the service will
look like, and to get to know others who are at a similar stage of
life. All planning to be baptized should plan to attend this workshop in preparation for the event. Future Baptism Workshops will
be held April 5 and May 17 -- Please RSVP to Rev. Molly by Feb 1
for attendance at the Feb 8 class. Childcare will be available and
fresh coffee will be brewing!
If you have an interest in the Mozambique Initiative or in traveling to Mozambique with a mission team, please join us for an
informational lunch on Sunday, Jan. 26 in the Cornerstone Coffee
Shop. Lunch will be provided. We will discuss MUMC's support
of the Initiative, as well as potential dates for mission teams in
2015 and 2016. We will also discuss the costs of participating in
travel and fundraising opportunities. If you cannot attend, but are
interested in joining the email group to stay updated, please send
an email to [email protected]. You can learn more about
the Mozambique Initiative sponsored by the Missouri Conference
on the web site at www.mzinitiative.com.

Missions Outreach
School Days!
Its that time of the year again, and many children in the 105
rural villages served by Rainbow Network in Nicaragua have
no school supplies: no paper, no pencils, no pens,. none of
the items we take for granted. They need spiral notebooks,
pencils, pens, rulers, blunt end scissors, white glue, construction paper, white copy machine paper, pencil sharpeners,
crayons. Quantity purchases get better prices. School kits are
excellent (see Festival of Sharing components). Your gift
can give a child a future with hope! School supplies may be
delivered to the PET warehouse, 1908 Heriford Rd., or make a
check to MUMC and designate Container Project/school.
