GROUP 1

VIETNAM
Ha Long Bay
Ha Long Bay is situated in north Vietnam
round a 120 kilometer long coast line and
is literally translated as Bay of
Descending Dragons. The top tourist
attraction in Vietnam, Ha Long
Bay features thousands of islands, each
topped with thick jungle vegetation,
forming a spectacular seascape of
limestone pillars. Several of the islands are
hollow, with enormous caves, others
islands include lakes and some support
floating villages of fishermen
The Mekong Delta
The Mekong Delta is the region in
southern Vietnam where the Mekong River
approaches and empties into the sea. It is
a very rich and lush area, covered with rice
fields, that produces about half of the total
of Vietnams agricultural output.
Subsequently, life in the Mekong Delta
revolves much around the river, and all the
villages are often accessible by river rather
than by road.
The Cu Chi Tunnels
The Cu Chi Tunnels are an immense
network of connecting underground
tunnels located about 40 km northwest of
Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). The tunnels
were used by Viet Cong guerrillas as
hiding spots during the Vietnam War, and
were the base of operations for the Tt
Offensive in 1968. The tunnels have
become a popular tourist attraction, and
visitors are invited to crawl around in the

safer parts of the tunnel system.

GROUP 2
INDONESIA
Bali
Bali is one of the worlds most popular island
destinations and one which consistently wins
travel awards. The varied landscape, rugged
coastlines, tropical beaches, lush rice
terraces and volcanic hillsides all provide a
picturesque backdrop to its colorful, deeply
spiritual and unique Hindu culture. The
combination of friendly people, a
magnificently visual culture infused with
spirituality and spectacular beaches with
great surfing and diving have made Bali the
most popular tourist destination in Indonesia.
Yogyakarta
Yogyakarta is a bustling town of some
500,000 people and the most popular tourist
destination on Java, due to its proximity to
the famous temples of Borobudur and
Prambanan. The city itself is a center of art
and education, offers some good shopping
and has a wide range of tourist facilities. In
2006 an earthquake flattened over 300,000
houses while in 2010 the nearby volcano of
Mount Merapi erupted, spewing lava over
nearby villages.
The Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park
The Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park is
best known for its awesome scenery of a
vast, ancient volcanic crater and a host of
picturesque volcanoes that have emerged

from it. The park is named after two


mountains, Mount Semeru, Mount Bromo
and the Tengger people who inhabit the area.
Semeru is the highest mountain in Java as
well as one of Indonesias most active
volcanoes. The smouldering cone of Bromo
stands in a sea of volcanic sand, surrounded
by the towering cliffs of the craters edge.

GROUP 3
MALAYSIA
Cameron Highlands
Providing a cool escape from the heat of the
lowlands, the Cameron Highlands in the
Titiwangsa Mountains are one of Malaysias
oldest tourist destinations. Developed with an
English garden charm, this beautiful
tableland offers lush scenery, colorful flower
farms, tea plantations, forests, lakes, wildlife
and outdoor recreation.

Langkawi
Located off Malaysias northwestern coast in
the Andaman Sea, Langkawi is an
archipelago of 99 islands boasting
picturesque beaches, rainforest, mangroves
and forest-clad mountains. In recent years,
resorts, hotels, restaurants and other tourist
facilities have developed in Langkawi,
offering visitors the opportunity to experience
the archipelagos exceptional natural beauty.
Gunung Mulu National Park
Famous for its extraordinary limestone karst
formations and phenomenal cave systems,
the Gunung Mulu National Park is one of the
most awe-inspiring natural attractions in all of
Southeast Asia. Located in Malaysian Borneo

in the Sarawak State, this national park


features some of the largest and longest
cave systems in the world. Included in these
is the worlds largest cave chamber, the
Sarawak Chamber, which is estimated large
enough to hold 40 Boeing 747 aircraft.
