Professional Statement During

Practicum
There were lots of things that I learned for being a practicum teacher this semester.
During this practicum, I felt really happy to teach all the students even though sometimes I
have a hard time to control them in the class. After a while, I start learning on how to control
them in the class. I also learned that sometimes we cant always be harsh to the students as
some of them cannot take advice in a harsh way. I have to learn on how to cope with each
student as every of them have the right to be handling as an individual. Besides, I also used
different ways or techniques of teaching in order to motivate and catch my students attention
in learning English. I used songs, videos, movies, relias and etc. to teach them English. I
hope that I can do some changes to these students and make them to love learning English.
In term of co-curriculum activities, I involved almost every activity inside and outside
the school. I gained lots of knowledge and experience from those activities. In fact, it really
makes me a better trainee in the aspect of JERIS which aligned with the national educational
philosophy. JERIS stands for Jasmani, Emosi, Rasional, Intelek and Sosial. Besides, I
contributed to one of the Lestrari Big Project which is mural. By involving all the activities
help me to improve my intrapersonal and interpersonal skills.
All in all, I hope that I will be a good teacher in the future and be able to fulfil our
national educational aims and objectives in educating the students. Plus, I hope that with the
knowledge that I have and gained in throughout my practicum semesters help me to improve
my credibility as a trainee teacher and able to contribute to the nation.
