Lab Week 6

Lab 9:
1. Windows 7 would not be able to detect a printer connected to the computer since the
printer that is being set up technical does not exist in the physical realm.

2. I can tell that the printer is being shared because when I click on the printer the bottom
share state has a check mark and two peoples heads.

3. This would not allow anyone to print during non-business hours.

4. Modifying the priority value will put the executives higher queue priority than everyone
else.
5. Doing this will make the selected users have full access while the other users will still
have restricted access.
Lab 14:
1. In order to open which ports are open in Windows firewall: the user would need to get to
the control panel, enter Windows Firewall into the search textbox, open up Windows
Firewall, click on Advanced settings, and click on the inbound rules label (Windows,
n.d.).

2. It would probably be necessary to impose a time limit on the invitation so that nobody
can access the Remote Assistance in order to break into the device instead of having the
user possibly forget to disallow connections.

3. The notepad would be running on NYC-CLb computer.

4. When I browse the Local Disk drive in the open combo box I see NYC-CLbs drive.

5. It would be possible to access the host computers drives while working in NYC-CLbs
Remote desktop connection window because the user check marked the drives option on
the local resources tab while signing onto an administrative account allowing the access
to NYC-CLas drives (Windows , n.d.).
6. The remote desktop would no longer be connected to the device. This happens because
the Remote Desktop Connection uses the IPV4 in order to identify the device on the
network so if it is changed it will no longer be able to connect to that device (E, 2013)
until the new address is called upon.
7. The remote desktop connection would not be able to open a remote application unless
scripting is done since the remote desktop policy does not allow it (James, 2009).
