I.

Rationale
This unit is for the grade 8 students, to gain knowledge on the basic information as the skills that
may be developed through the activities and experiences in a well-rounded program of Music, Arts, P.E.
and Health through Demonstration, Lecture, Role Play, Use of filmstrip, Music, Models, Oral
Questioning and discussion, Use of displays by instructor, Use of community or local resources, group
dynamics and cooperative learning. This unit is about the music, arts and craft of Asia and Southeast
Asia, the sports Swimming, Taekwondo, Badminton and Sakuting.

Content

Overview
The grade 8 contains the vocal and instrumental music of Asia and Southeast Asia including its arts
and crafts their theatrical forms. The physical education will focus on Swimming, Taekwondo,
Badminton and Sakuting. Swimming and Taekwondo will be a big help for the students as a selfdefense and foundation for every accidents and situations they may encounter. While badminton
will strengthen their body which is based from the K to 12 curriculum.
