USER AUTHENTICATION
Authentication is an important part of the voting process, both for the voting system
authenticating the human as a legimate voter without sacrificing secret balloting. The system
for the authenticating the vote recorder must be designed in such a way that ensures the
human cannot easily tricked into trusting an illegitimate recorder and so that the voter has
confidence in integrity of the voting process. Trustworthy elections are essential to
democracy. The main concern in this type of process is the security. Aunthetication can be
done in many ways like passwords, any physical key, or the user itself. With traditional poll
site voting, voters authenticate themselves by providing identification or an affirmation to a
trusted poll worker. Internet based voting offers great convenience, but does not offer such
obvious authentication methods.

ADVANTAGES
In the traditional voting methods, the voters has to go the designated voting place to cast their
vote and proper database of every candidate has to be maintained in papers so a lot of
resources has to be wasted every time the elections are to be held. In some other cases there
are installed some touch screen voting machines which enables the user to cast the vote, but
still the user has to go the place.
