The Depression Algorithm
The Depression Algorithm
1. Rate the severity of your depression at this moment, on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the most
severe). If you can get the depression down to 1, it is quite possible it will stay that way. (The
scale is known as the Subjective Units of Distress or SUD scale).
2. Locate the gamut spot on the back of the hand, about an inch below the raised knuckles of the
ring finger and little finger when making a fist. Tap this gamut spot thirty times, using two
fingers on the opposite hand.
3. Now, locate your collarbone, down the throat to the bone, then down another inch and one
inch to the right and tap 5 times.
4. Re-access your feelings on the SUD scale again. If the decrease this time is 2 or more points
go to the "Gamut" treatments below. If however there is no significant decrease proceed to the
PR (Psychological Reversal) Algorithm below.
3. Re-access your feelings again using the SUD scale. If your SUD has declined to 1 end the
session with a "floor to ceiling eye roll". Keeping your head held level, look down, then slowly
and steadily raise your eyes all the way up. The gamut spot must be tapped during the moving of
the eyes. You should experience no depression at the conclusion.
4. If the decrease is not down to 1 stop the process, relax, seek professional help.
