Job Description:
Under General Supervision
Assist in the development and revision of applicable policies,
procedures and standards
Analyses and determine staffing needs
Determine amounts and kinds of equipment and supplies
Assumes responsibility for staff and personnel
Assumes responsibility for patient care in his/her unit

4. Caring of Mechanically Ventilated Patients
Operates Mechanical Ventilators on different settings. Weans patients
from mechanical ventilators with different modes.
5. NGT and OGT Insertions.
Inserts, checks patency, maintains, and terminates NGT and OGT.
Feeds and give medications through NGT and OGT.
6. Cardiac Monitoring.
Monitors patient's cardiac rhythms, oxygen saturation, vital signs
through telemetry.
7. Caring of Chest tubes.
Assists in insertion of chest tubes, monitors and maintains drain, assist
in pleurodesis.
8. Foley Catheter Insertions.
Inserts, maintains, monitors drainage, and terminates Foley catheters.
