THE GREATEST SHIP : FRIEND-SHIP

Scene 1 : WHAATT!!!
( Setting: In a class, without teacher. Roles :1-Amzar,2-Omar,3-Hamzi)
Narrator

: In a science boarding school in Pasir Berdengung State, there


is a very handsome, smart and intelligence student but he is
very arrogant with his knowledge. He does not wish to teach
his friends that in need and ask him when having problems in
study.

Amzar

: (walking to Omar with book in his hand). Omar, can you help
me with this question? Because I could not understand this
topic when Sir Bad taught us before. (showing him a biologys
question).

Omar

: (take a glimpse at Amzar ,then continue reading his book.)

Amzar

: Omar, Omar. Can you help me?(showing biologys book


again.)

Omar

: Wait. Wait for a moment. I want to finish this book first. Why
dont you ask others?(continue reading book)

Amzar

: {Whaatt!! He doesnt want to help me? Arrgghh, I surely cant


believe this.} (left Omar behind and walk to Hamzi). Hamzi, do
you understand clearly on this topic?(showing Hamzi the topic)

Hamzi

: I am really sorry Amzar. I dont clearly understand it too but I


would be happy to lend you a hand. How about it?

Amzar

: Its okay. I would be pleased. Thank you Hamzi.

Narrator

: Hamzi teach Amzar with full hearted. He helps Amzar on the


topic that Amzar cannot understand. At last, Amzar managed
to understand very well about that topic.

Scene 2 : At Home
Narrator

: On a bright sunny day on weekend, when a bird chirping in a


clear blue sky, Amzar decided to call Omar and would like to
ask him is he free on that day because he want to study with
him. It is because he noticed that the exam is around the
corner.

Amzar

: (dialing Omar)

Omar

: (cellphone ringing. Omar pick up the call). Hello, Amzar. Why


do you call me? Is there any problem?

Amzar

: Emm, actually yes. Are you free today?

Omar

: Hmm, why?

Amzar

: If you free, I would like to have a study group with you. Do


you noticed that exam is around the corner?

Omar

: I am really sorry Amzar. I already know that exam is around


the corner but I am not at home right now.

Amzar

: Owh, if that so, nevermind. Its okay.

Omar

: Furthermore, I think I dont need a study group. I have


covered all the subjects.

Amzar

: { Aarrgghh, why he is very proud and over confident of


himself }. Hmm, i think you have to do a lot of exercises and
not just reading those books. Moreover, study in group is
better than study alone.

Omar

: (sigh..) I know my strength. I know what I am doing. The one


who needs a lot of exercises is you!! I repeat, YOU!!!( engaged)

Narrator

: Because of Omars harsh words, it has touched Amzars heart


so deep. In the end, Amzar decided not to join Omar in group
studying.... never agaaain.. Starting from that, Amzar realise
that he should never interfere Omar again. Then he turn his
attention to Hamzi eventhough Hamzi is just a moderate
student. But he is easy-going student and very enthusiatism to
help others. He always lends his hands when people ask him
for help especially in studies.

Scene 3 : Express Feelings


Narattor

: All of sudden, Hamzi comes to Amzar. Hamzi have an


intention to invites Amzar to study together after schools
session end at the class.

Hamzi

: (walking towards Amzars seat). Assalamualaikum, Amzar.


What are you doing?

Amzar

: hmm, nothing. I am just reading some study materials. Why?

Hamzi

: Amzar, would you like to study with me after this? After the
school session. Here, at our class.

Amzar

: (shocked) What?! Actually, i want to discuss with you too


about this but i dont have any chance. Well, since you have
invited me first, i will say nothing other than yes.

Hamzi

: If that so, i think it is decided. Then we will have our study


group after the school session. This afternoon okay?

Amzar

: Im pleased with that. I am grateful to have friend like you.


You always there for me when i really need your help. You are
my best friend. My only and unreplaceable one. Not like that
one friend, when i ask him for help, he always makes excuses.

Hamzi

: Oh, but who? I think that is not a good attitude to do that. At


least we have to help our friends, isnt it?

Amzar

: Hmm, you are right. But by telling you who is him is not a
good attitude too.

Hamzi

: Oh, it is okay then. I dont need to ask who he is.

(Both laughing and continue with the revision)

Scene 4 : Turning Back


Setting : class. Time : Early in the morning before the exam started at 2.00
p.m
Narrator

: The examination is really around the corner. Exam tables had


been arranged by staffs. Schedule had been released. The war
just begun. All students now concentrating in revision. Some of
them making study group, some of them attend tuition class.
Teachers also doing over-time, preparing examinations
questions. The environment of the school now is no longer like
before. Its like they will facing a big, huge war!!!

Narrator

: Omar looks very confused and stress. His hair is no longer


well-managed. It seems like he is facing big troubles. Without
any doubt, Omar walks towards Hamzi at the back of the class
to settle his problems.

Omar

: Hamzi, can you teach me about this?(showing questions). I


cant find the answer. Ive searched the answer in many books
but I still cant find those answers. It seems like helpless.

Hamzi

: Hmm, do you want to know something? Amzar knows these


answers. He did told and taught me just now. But I still cannot
understand very well about that questions. Maybe you can
meet Amzar and ask him to help you.

Omar

: Do you want me to see him? Hmm...( sad face )

Hamzi

: Why Omar?

Omar

: Honestly, I feel so embarassed to see him. You know why?


Because before this, I had been arrogant towards him.

Hamzi

: What?!! So you are the one that Amzar said to me on that


day. I did not expect it to be you.

Omar

: Yes, I am.

Hamzi

: In fact, Amzar didnt tell me who the person is. What a good
person is.

Narrator

: After that, both of them go to see Amzar. Omar apologise


Amzar for what he had done before. However, Amzar never
take it seriously and forgive Omar. They hug each other and
shed tears of joy. This is what friends are supposed to do.
Friend in need is a friend indeed. THE GREATEST SHIP IS
FRIEND-SHIP!
