Selected For Boeing Student Research Scholarship for a yearlong research project at IITK ( 7 from whole batch)
Secured All India Rank (AIR) of 827 in JEE 2011 amongst 468,240 students.
Cleared Regional Mathematics Olympiad in class 11th and secured 15th rank in state.
Received Certificate of Appreciation for the project in course of Manufacturing Science by Dr. Kallol Mandal.

Summer Internship- Gtec Whirlpool India Ltd

Innovative Shelf Design for Refrigerators
To design a mechanism to change the Height of shelf of refrigerator without unloading the shelf and
Objective
Designing
Product

taking shelf out of the refrigerator taking into account the aesthetics and user sensorial.
Came up with thought process of how the objective can be achieved by the movement of the tray and how
the costumer can change the height of the tray and what are the desirable inputs from customer.
Developed a mechanism in which a various mechanical components such as Cams, springs, Mechanical
linkages, Slotted links and rack and pinion mechanism worked in coordination to achieve given result.
Designing process was iterated to find the mechanism which works with minimum force form the user.
After the Complete designing the whole work was presented to a team of seven managers.

Key Projects
Abhyast- Boeing Project:

(Jan 2013-Dec 2013)

The project includes designing, manufacturing, assembling various parts of the jumping robot.
Developed a motor driven torsional spring mechanism and overall jump of 8 cm was achieved.
The robot does autonomous navigation based on input from laser scanner, Inertia Measuring Unit and the processing
is done by Beagle Board (onboard computer).
Speedy Skates(March April 2014)
A motor powered , android mobile controlled Skate board was made which can be used as means of transport
The product was designed and tested to carry a full grown person from one place to another in road.
It can be used as portable transport system which will be helpful in cities with gridlock condition.

Finite Element Method Analysis of Bimetallic Strip-

(March April 2014)

The FEM analysis was done for brass and aluminum bimetallic strip for a given temperature distribution.
The Thermal stress, overall strain and deflection of the bimetallic was calculated with given displacement boundary
condition.
Robocon 2013- International Robotics Competition
(Dec 2012- March 2013)
The project involved designing, manufacturing of 1 autonomous and 1 manual robot for performing various tasks.
Successfully applied the PID controller algorithm to help the autonomous robot to follow the grid and navigate to
desired position. Controlled the movement of the Robotic arm used for picking up the object autonomously.
Robocon 2012- International Robotics Competition
(Dec 2011- March 2012)
One Manual and two autonomous robot were made to perform the specific task. Manual bot used to carry a person.
Successfully developed a servo-controlled four base motor driving mechanism which was used by autonomous robot
to perform navigation effectively without making turns.

Position of Responsibility

Mentor Robotics Club- Mentor of team of 6 students doing a robotics club summer project of micro mouse. The

project involved manufacturing of mouse sized robot which follows and solves a given maze.
Secretary Public Relations Antaragni Organized Oil painting, Charcoal Sketching and Parkour workshop
which involved active participation of 200 students and faculty members.

Extra-Curricular Activities
Adventure Club- Six days Trek to Sar Pass in Parvati valley in Kullu district in Himachal Pradesh. 50 days long

conditioning prior to trek. Involved in wall climbing, marathon, duathalon activities organized by adventure club.
Robotics Club- Actively involved in all robotics club activity ranging from taking lectures to organizing workshops.
Won Wild Soccer Competition in Takneek 2012. Won Consolation prize in Electromania in techkriti 2012.
Alumni Contact Program- This program which helps the alumni to connect to their Alma mater.
