PROCESS MANUAL

FOR
LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

CREATING CATEGORIES
Categories are the toplevel component of the catalogue. They are used to group courses into
sections of the catalogue so that the learners and their managers can easily find the courses in the
catalogue.
A Category can be considered as a filing cabinet containing the courses. You must create
categories before you can create any courses under them.

CREATING COURSES
Courses are the second level component of the catalogue. They must be created under
Categories.
The Course record gives the objectives and the description of the course and who would the be
intended audience of the particular course.

CREATING OFFERINGS
Offerings are held at the third level component of the catalogue. They must be created under
Courses.
The Offering record gives details of how the course is delivered.
It mainly holds details of the Delivery Method, the Language the Offering is delivered in, the
usual length of time the Offering takes and the maximum attendees.

CREATING CLASSES
Classes are the fourth level component of the catalogue. They must be created under Offerings.
The Class record gives details of when and where the course is delivered.
It mainly holds details of the dates the class will be held on, and when learners can enroll in the
class.
The Duration and maximum attendees will be inherited from the Offering level, but can be
overwritten at class level

CREATING SESSIONS

Some program will be having 2 or more modules where we need to create the sessions according
to the modules given.
How to write:
Name of Category: Small letters
Name of Course: CAPITAL LETTERS
Name of Offering: CAPITAL LETTERS / DELIVERY MODE
Name of Class: Small Letters / Start Date End Date Month Year / Delivery Mode
Name of Session: Small letters

ADD EVALUATION FORM


Soon after creating the class, you must add the FLSmidth Training Feedback.
You must send this form to the participants by updating the status as pending signature /
evaluation

ENROLLMENTS

The next level is to enroll the participants in the class.


Enrollment can be done by the participants / employees themselves or it can be
done by their managers on behalf of them.
But if the manager / the employee failed to do the enrollment, the administrator

must do it with a proper mail confirmation from them.


You should Place the participants first and then after the training you should

update it as pending signature/evaluation.


If anybody wants to cancel the participation, they can either do it in the LMS on
their own before the class starts or they have to send a mail to the administrator to

do the cancellation on behalf of him/her.


If any participant requested for the training class, the administrator have to send a

mail to the concern participant asking to get an approval from his/her manager.
If any of the participants are waitlisted, the administrator should follow up for
placing them for the next class.

RESOURCE BOOKING
After enrolling the participants the administrator must book the training rooms and order meals
by using HR-Training calendar and Resource Finder.
Creating new meeting request

Start Standard Microsoft Outlook user interface and pick new meeting request.

Click the Resource Finder Button to add a Room to your meeting.

Select the date, time and the room as per the requirements

Users can also pick a meeting room or resource from the locations list instead of search
and filter.

After selecting the training room, click on the Order form for the meals booking and do
the necessary fillings as needed

Click on the send order after filling the necessary information

Click the Save and Close button on the top right corner to complete the reservation.

SENDING E-MAILS
After booking the training rooms, the administrator has to send emails to the participants
regarding the Venues and schedules of the training class. This has to be done 1 week in advance.
The administrator has to send the necessary course materials, course descriptions, agenda and
other necessary documents to the participants for their preparations.
The administrator has to send the updated list of the participants to the trainers

SENDING EVALUATION FORM:


After the training class is over, the administrator has to update the status as pending signature/
Evaluation for each participants after getting the attendance sheet.
