The diagram below represents the arrangement of household wiring of some


electric devices.

a)

Draw a circuit diagram to represent the wiring and devices.

b)

Name one pair of electric devices which are connected in series.


(1 mark)

c)

Name one pair of electric devices which are connected in parallel.


(1 mark)

For each of the following descriptions of a number of connected resistors,


indicate whether they are a series or parallel circuit.
a)

The current is the same through each resistor.

b)

The total resistance is equal to the sum of the individual resistances.

The total voltage drop across the resistors is proportional to the


combined resistance.

The voltage drop is the same across each resistor.
