Anti-Collision System for Indian Railways: (December11-Till Date)
The project involves designing an indigenous Anti-Collision System (ACS) for trains in Indian Railways. This state of the art system uses track
mounted passive RFIDs and AGPS. Further integration with central signaling system makes it robust and SIL4 compliant. Phase-I of the project
includes R&D, validation and development of prototype, while Phase-II focuses on testing and field trials along with real time implementation.
Development of AAKASH, the $35 tablet: (August11-Till Date)
AAKASH is a Low Cost Access Device (LCAD) and is the worlds cheapest tablet, designed and developed by IIT-Rajasthan with support of
India's Ministry of Human Resource and Development. Besides volunteering for rigorous testing of various aspects of its hardware & software, I
am presently contributing in improvement of the next generation of AAKASH.
Acknowledged by Scientific Society as Indias one of the top technological achievements in 2011.
Sustainable Campus Design of IIT Rajasthan, Guidance: Prof Jean Pouyet (January12- Till date)
The project involves comprehensive analysis of geology, vegetation and climatic conditions for sustainable designing of the new campus of IIT
Rajasthan, a 900 acre area to be zero energy waste and self reliant in all parameters. This state of the art campus will also put ahead IIT
Rajasthan as a centre of excellence in solar energy.
SolidWorks Workshop
Attended a training workshop on SolidWorks which focused on modeling methodology in addition to 3D mechanical design applications. The
workshop also gave a brief overview of the various tools used with special emphasis on the fundamentals of Computer aided designs.
Reasons to study the increasing number of suicides in IITs, Guidance: Dr. Tanusree Dutta (October11- Till date)
The project focuses to determine the reasons for the increasing number of suicides in IITs and other premier institutes. It involves case studies,
analyzing the philosophical and psychological aspects that lead to such situations.

Core Organizing Team, IIT Rajasthans Entrepreneurship Conclave: (9th March11, 18th 19th February12)

Organized a business consortium which focused on Entrepreneurship in low cost solutions and was attended by 24 CEOs, Venture
Capitalists and students from across the country. This was one of the largest entrepreneurship summits of the country with a B Plan
competition along with panel discussions, key note sessions and interactive hours.
The conclave initialized a concept called, Sociopreneurship, which means entrepreneurship in social issues.
