Research Project Proposal

Carol Lee is requesting approval for her research project proposal on a new bullying ordinance that targets parents. The ordinance would allow police to notify parents in writing if their child bullies others and fine parents $120 if their child bullies again within a certain time period. Lee believes holding parents accountable will motivate them to confront bullying issues. Her proposal outlines the bullying problem, objectives to encourage parental involvement, the proposed ordinance as a solution, a schedule, her qualifications, associated costs, relevant statistics, and a conclusion on the importance of parental monitoring and teaching character. She includes an annotated bibliography in an appendix.
