Lesson Plan Examples at Level 4 and Level 6: Rockschool Licentiate in Music Teaching (LRSL) Level 6

The document provides examples of a level 4 and level 6 lesson plan to illustrate the differences in requirements between the levels. The level 4 plan met the pass standard, while the individual level 6 plan demonstrated distinction-level work but lacked continuity when combined with other plans, receiving an overall pass due to inconsistent detail in teaching methods. Lesson Plan Examples at Level 4 and Level 6

Please find below two lesson plans, one at level 4 and one at level 6
These lesson plans are to illustrate the difference between the requirements at each level.
The Level 4 was deemed at a pass standard.
The Level 6, submitted as a single lesson plan, would be given a distinction. But when combined with
the other lesson plans that were submitted it was deemed at pass standard. This was down to the lack of
continuity throughout the plans, with the level of explanation and detail of the teaching methods not
maintained.
This information should inform you about the standard of work that is required for the lesson plans and add
to the existing knowledge that has been discussed within this first semester.
