Automated Rope Climbing Robot

This document is a request for proposal for engineering teams to design an automated rope-climbing robot called the Robo-Rat. Engineering teams are invited to submit proposals and will design, build, test and document a prototype if their concept is approved. The design must meet specifications including climbing an 8-foot rope in a climbing motion and being powered by a single rechargeable battery. Engineering teams must provide documentation of their design at several milestones and conduct all work safely.
