The story of the ship the Titanic is famous, and the film
of what happened was a big success. The Titanic left
Southampton, England on 10th April, 1912. It was
sailing to New York with 2,208 passengers. It was the
Titanic’s first journey and there were many rich and
famous people on the ship. On the night of Sunday,

At first, no one realised what was happening. The ship
finally sank at 2.20 a.m. 1,523 people died on that
terrible night.
