NEWSLETTER - ISSUE # 41
INLAND EMPIRE - SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA

st
This will be our 41 newsletter for the club.
Since I started with these newsletters we have had an
increasing amount of readers throughout the years.
In the past I have received some email regarding this
newsletter mainly if I had sent it already or when it
would be sent. This is a rewarding compliment to
hear that there are people out there who actually look
forward to this newsletter.
From the very first one which was in June
2006 (Issue #1) this newsletter has received plenty of
reviews and compliments. Oh I know that there are
some who want to express their thoughts and give
thumbs up on this but never get around to doing it.
That’s okay because from the ones who do make an
effort to say thank you or just make a comment about
this is enough for me and for everyone who is
connected to the newsletter.
The other day someone asked me, “What is
the club’s newsletter name?”, and I reply with the
clubs name. Hmmm.. then it occurred to me that I
have never given this newsletter an actual name. I
have always called it the Rancho Cucamonga PT
Cruiser Cruisin’ Club Newsletter or even just the
Clubs Newsletter. That’s funny!
I do other newsletters for several other
~ RCPTCCC NEWSLETTER TEAM ~ organizations and they do have a name and here my
CLUB FOUNDER & NWSLTR EDITOR very own newsletter and it has no name. It never ever
ALEXANDER MENDOZA crossed my mind to give it a name.
CLUB VICE PRESIDENT & ASSISTANT NWSLTR EDITOR Well, I believe that the only right thing to do is to give
GLORIA AGUIRRE it a name, a good name so that it can be identified as
FOR SAFETY REASONS AT ANY GIVEN TIME ON ANY CRUISE a newsletter with lots of good stuff in here for the
readers who look forward to it every month during the
YOU MUST HAVE A SET OF 2-WAY WORKING RADIOS WHICH IS
year.
A REQUIREMENT FOR THE MEMBERSHIP. PLEASE DO NOT PUT I know of 1 person who has printed every one
US AT RISK ON THE ROAD. THIS IS A MUST HAVE ITEM FOR of the newsletters since Issue #1. And I also know of
CRUISIN’ WITH RCPTCCC AT ALL TIMES. at least three people who have every issue I have
***** printed. (Hard copy) I myself have no favorite
ALL MEMBERS OF THIS CLUB WILL SHOW RESPECT AND newsletter because to me all of them were done with
CONDUCT HIM/HER SELF IN A MOST PROPER BEHAVIOR a lot of enjoyment. Such as when you mow your lawn
and trim the bushes and then stand back and give it
TOWARDS ANYONE WHOM THEY MEET AT ANY CLUB EVENT one finally look before heading inside for a well
OR CLUB CRUISE THAT THIS CLUB GOES TO. RANCHO deserved shower.
CUCAMONGA PT CRUISER CRUISIN’ CLUB WILL NOT Well something like that I guess. When the
TOLERATE ANY PERSON(S) WHO MAY BRING A NEGATIVE monthly newsletter is all done and ready, I read it one
SITUATION AND/OR BLEMISH THE CHARACTER OR last time before sending it out, then I start thinking
REPUTATION OF THIS CLUB. AND LET NO CLUB MEMBER about next month newsletter. One thing is for sure I
CHANGE THIS, FOR THIS IS THE WAY OF BEING WHO do need to name the newsletter. If anyone has a
suggestion for a name regarding this newsletter,
WE ARE. please email your suggestion send to me and I will
“RANCHO CUCAMONGA PT CRUISER CRUISIN’ CLUB” give my best consideration for sure. Thank you.

It is within our organization bylaws *
that all club members must have their two-way
radios charged and standing by once we leave
on the cruise.
I really do care about everyone’s safety
and I can’t stress this enough to the members
who keep forgetting their 2-way radios. Please
remember that the 2-way radio's (set on Ch. 7)
are mandatory for all club members at all times
in order for all of the cruisers to be aware of RIVERSIDE A SALUTE TO THE VIET NAM VETERANS
lane changes for safety.
If you don't have a good set of 2-way
radio's then please buy a good set with a
charger before the next scheduled cruise.
Please have consideration for
everyone’s protection and carry a high-quality
set of 2-way functioning radios to each and
every one of the cruises you make at all times.
Purchasing my two-way radio was the greatest
deal in protection that I perhaps ever made.
Let’s all drive safe and sound and
protected at all times from the beginning all the
way to end our cruise at all times day or night.
Thank you.
April 10 2010 Riverside Salute to the Veterans Parade
Every year at this parade there is a good feeling about attending and being in this parade for the PT Cruiser Cruisin’ Club.
Many of us are veterans from Foreign Wars and many of us know or have relatives that have served in a Foreign War.
The quickest way to get to know someone is to ask if they have been in the United States Military. There is a bond
between men and women that have served in the military some stronger than others but still the bond is there. There
are military people who would rather not discuss about being in the military and the reason is probably because at one
time or another they were exposed to or were in directly involved in a traumatic situation that might have happened
while in the military. For the most of the men and women who have served in the United States Military they are just
fine and some have even stayed on after their duty to the United States and made a career of this.
Every branch of service is very different and no two are alike and of course they all have an ideal pride of their
branch of service because they belong to that part of the United States Military. Each branch has a duty to America and
every branch prides itself of doing the best in what they do. Once the time of service is completed and the person
rejoins civilian life that person reflects the personality of where he or she has been and what he or she has done. One
military service that stands out of the circle and prides their duty of service is the United States Marine Corps because of
the camaraderie that is inspired starting from the very beginning of when the recruit learn to step on those famous
yellow footprints at the recruiting station, probably very early at about 3 a.m.
Bill Densmore - Chair & Laura Densmore - Committee Secretary/Assistant Marketing Director Phone: (951) 687-
1175 - Email: [email protected] - Website: www.asalutetoveterans.com along with their staff definitely do a
good job in bringing this parade “A Salute to Veterans Parade” together for the public and for all of the military veterans
that attend the 5th Annual Salute to Veterans Parade. This year’s Grand Marshal is California’s National Guard’s
Adjutant General, Air Force Brig. Gen. Mary J. Kight. The theme for this year is “Honoring the Veterans in
your Life” and it was held on Saturday, April 17, 2010 from 10:00 am - 12:00 noon. The Salute to Veterans
Parade honors veterans of all ages and eras. This fun, family parade anticipates over 125 entries including
marching bands, fly-over’s, equestrian units, color guards, marching units, antique cars, military vehicles,
floats and of course, Veterans. Parade Route is from Riverside Community College at Magnolia and
Ramona to Market, right on 10th St, right on Main St. ending at the Historic Riverside County Courthouse
on Main at 12th street. Public parking is free in downtown Riverside on weekends.
Rancho Cucamonga PT Cruiser Cruisin’ Club attends this parade and when we drive our PT cruisers in this parade
we drive with all of the patriotic colors you might find. The people are really friendly and the atmosphere is solid. Our
club was in staging area 88-R ½ and ready to fall into the lineup as the entries began passing by. In a way we were
holding in a perfect area because all of the entries had to go by our cruisin’ club and we got to see all of the parade
entries. The club founder Alexander Mendoza take the PT trailer (CA.LIC# PTTRVLR) and decorates it to the max with full
size military branch service flags rising high into the air which brings the sense of pride closer to our club. Most of the
membership decorated the cruisers with many different styles of patriotic decorations and we do not do it for any
trophy or award we do it because we enjoy the serenity of the entire event.
Well as every knows we always head off to some distance restaurant to have a bite to eat after every cruise.
This time we decided to go back to Papachinos and splurge on a great meal. After our last cruise we were introduced to
this very same restaurant by our Club President Ken and his wife Laura. The membership thought that the food was so
good last time that we decided to try it again, even if it meant going many miles out of our way. Hey!!! We are a cruisin’
Club and that’s what a cruisin’ club does. Cruise! Of course as usual we stayed several hours and exchanged much
conversation about this and that regarding our past and future cruises we are taking this year. We were in Laughlin in
several months ago and are ready to go back again in October for the big national Halloween Car Show at the Tropicana
Hotel. However we have at least 11 more crises before October 2010 and I believe we have gone on 8 since January
2010. After the Laughlin cruise we will start tapering down as the year gets closer to January 2010, so we’ll only have 6
more cruises from October to December. Hey!! That’s what we do in a cruisin’ club….we cruise. We had a good time in
the parade, can’t wait until next year in 2011. R ancho Cucamonga PT Cruiser Cruisin’ Club - Alexander Mendoza.
