5 Sites that are software utilities

Allows you to make different size Bingo cards. There are already Bingo
templates or you can put your own words into the bingo cards.

2.) http://www.avira.com/en/pages/index.php - This website has free


virus software that can be downloaded.

3.) http://www.avast.com/index - This website has free virus software that can be
downloaded. This one is the better of the two links for free virus software.

4.) http://www.theteacherscorner.net/printable-worksheets/make-your-
own/crossword/ - This website has already made crossword puzzles by categories, or you
can make your own crossword puzzle if you know what words you would like to include.

5.)http://puzzlemaker.discoveryeducation.com/ - This website enables you to


make several different puzzles.
5 Sites that Target your Content
1.) http://www.shelsilverstein.com - I plan on using Shel
Silverstein in my class, I think he is a great read for children. Website
where students read biography of author, and are able to have the author's books read to
them. There are other additional activities and games students may find interesting.

2.) http://www.suelebeau.com/firstday.htm - Ideas on how to make the most out


of the first days of class with your students. These tools help you and the students get to
know one another better. This is the type of content I would like to cover on the first
days of class.

scos_subject=English+Language+Arts&grade=4 - Lesson Plans for English Arts that are
targeted with NC goals and objectives. You can click on the objective you are trying to
achieve and a lesson plan for that objective in Language Arts for NC 4th graders will
appear. This is a very useful tool for NC teachers.

5 Sites that are Webquests

Students read and follow instructions provided on the site, writing responses to the
questions provided, speaking with classmates about the varying opinions, view the book,
"Duck on a Bike," by David Shannon. This lesson has the students form there opinions
and then give reason for their opinions as well as develop and understanding and respect
the opinions of others. The various opinions are depicted in spreadsheets and pictograph.

Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing and discuss the story and the important events involved
as well as the elements of a good story. Students create timeline for important events in
the book and a timeline for their life. Next, the students brainstorm and then write their
own story. When the students finish their story, then they post them on a classroom blog
for the class to read.

dinosaurs- write short story, make a YouTube, and design a village based on dinosaur's
habitat.

endangered species and learn about the ways people can save these animals. The student
will then take that information and create an interesting and captivating PowerPoint.

students become experts on their topic of choice. Learners will find 2 books and 2
websites to support topic. This project concludes with a PowerPoint presentation that the
students will use to teach the class about their topic.

5 Sites that would be useful to me in the future

objectives the state of NC expects their teachers to adhere by. This will be a website that
will be used through out class, and into the teaching profession.

2.) http://www.teachertools.org/forms_dynam.asp - This website consists of


forms, letters to parents, and additional documents for multiple situations that students
and teachers face in the classroom. This includes discipline documents, but also
documents to help students organize their work.

3.) http://www.ning.com/ - Ning is a website where you can create individual


social networking. This is a useful tool for teachers because this a way to get students
more involved in the curriculum inside and out of the classroom. Also, it is a way for
parents to be more involved in what their child is doing in school.

4.) http://www.webquest.org/index.php - Learning activities used by


educators that utilizes the World Wide Web. In these lessons learners read, analyze, and
synthesize information.
5.) http://www.learnnc.org/ncpts/2009-PTS/PTS1/ - Teacher standards
are laid out and you can click on the objectives and it will bring up the resources for
achieving that objective.
