SAP CRM Testing

CRM: There are mainly three modules in CRM.


1) Sales
2) Marketing
3) Services
Note: Testing the CRM it is mandatory to know the business process. The main responsibilities of SAP
CRM tester are functional testing, retesting, regression testing, integration testing and user acceptance
testing.
Functional testing : Testing the "as is" functions and features to meet the requirements.
Retesting: Ensure that the issue/bug is solved. ( Failed test cases and same data sets are used)
Regression testing: To ensure that after integration of other modules previous functionality working
properly. ( All pass test cases and same data sets)
Integration testing : very the application working properly after integration of modules ie fi,scm, etc
UAT: Aplication accepted by user or client.

For testing the CRM application 1st of all prepare the test scenarios.

The number of test scenarios are as follows:


1-Lead management process
2-Opportunity management process
3- Quotation and order management
4- Activity management
5- Campaign Management
6- Account and contract management
7- pipeline performance management
8- Territory management
9- Services management

Pre-conditions for testing each scenarios:


A- Customer/Material/Organizational master data is uploaded
B- All user authentication
C- Test data is available

1-Testing/Verifying the Business process of Lead Management


The process steps to test the business flow of a lead management are:
1. Create a target group for lead generation
2. Create lead for target group or create lead manually
3.Qualify lead
4. Distribute lead - Assign To the employee
5. Transfer lead to sales ( Opportunity created on the basis of lead status- ie HOT)

2-Testing/Verifying the Business process of Opportunity Management


1. A Sales representative receives a qualified lead (Hot Lead).
2. When this Hot Lead is accepted by the sales representative, the system creates an Opportunity.
3. Within SAP CRM actual sales process begin with an opportunity. It is not mandatory to use Lead to
create the Opportunity.
4. The sales representative then contacts the customer and updates the opportunity with further data.
5. Also there is option to activate activities available in the Sales Assistant or create new activities. These
activities can be configured for different stages of the Opportunity
6. The Opportunity needs to be evaluated by the sales representative with positive or negative decision.
7. Opportunity ends with the creation the quotation, or rejection from the customer.
8. The solution derived from the opportunity is presented to the customer and the sales representative
creates quotation.
9. Once the sale representative secures agreement based upon the quotation, sales order can then be
created.
10. Delivery is not part of the SAP CRM and for that it is integrated with a back-end SAP ERP system.
11. Billing for the sales orders can be performed within the SAP CRM.
12. Also SAP CRM offers SAP BI in order to analyze the complete sales project based on the outcome of
the opportunities.

Create a quotation in the system
Create items for the quotation
You can add products requested by the customer
You can perform ATP check of products for each item in the quotation
Determine the pricing of individual items
Send the quotation to the customer
You can create activities as part of a Quotation document

Sales order management


Create sales order with requested product
Perform ATP check
Maintain and determine the pricing conditions
Integrated ERP system helps to perform credit check
System replicates it to and receives it from the SAP ERP
Order confirmation is sent to the customer
