Circumcision of Heart

This document discusses the concept of circumcision in the Bible. It defines circumcision as the surgical removal of the foreskin in males, which was a sign of inclusion in the Jewish faith. The document states that circumcision symbolized the removal of man's sinful nature. It contrasts the results of having an uncircumcised heart, such as facing God's anger and not inheriting His kingdom, with the rewards of having a circumcised heart, such as seeing God's favor, protection, and inheriting His kingdom.

TEXT: Deut.30:1-10
Deuteronomy 30:5-7 (NKJV)
5 Then the LORD your God will bring you to the land
which your fathers possessed, and you shall
possess it. He will prosper you and multiply you
more than your fathers. 6 And the LORD your God
will circumcise your heart and the heart of your
descendants, to love the LORD your God with all
your heart and with all your soul that you may live.
7 Also the LORD your God will put all these curses
on your enemies and on those who hate you, who
persecuted you.

INTRODUCTION
God is calling on His people to walk
perfectly closely with Him like
Abraham our forefather; to give their
hearts and belongings to Him as
Abraham has given his promised child
to God. It is then we can receive the
promise of God in fullness.
God used circumcision as the symbol
of what happen to a persons heart
under the new covenant.

DEFINITION OF CIRCUMCISION
Circumcision is the surgical removal of the
foreskin, the tissue covering the head
(glans) of the male organ. It is an ancient
practice that has its origin in religious rites.
Today, many parents have their
sons circumcised for religious or other
reasons.

It is the act, especially a Jewish rite,

performed on male infants (Genital Organ)
as a sign of inclusion into the Jewish
religious community

[Genesis 21:4 (NKJV)

Abraham circumcised
Isaac when he was eight
as God had commanded

It is the token of covenant between God

and Abraham and his seed.

-

10 This is My covenant which you

shall keep, between Me and you
and your descendants after you:
Every male child among you shall
be circumcised;
11 and you shall be circumcised in
the flesh of your foreskins, and it
shall be a sign of the covenant
between Me and you.
27 and all the men of his house,
born in the house or bought with
money from a foreigner, were
circumcised with him.
Acts 7:8 (NKJV)
8 Then He gave him the covenant of
circumcision; and so Abraham begot
Isaac and circumcised him on the
eighth day; and Isaac begot Jacob,
and
Jacob begot the
twelve
patriarchs.]

away of your sinful nature.]

It is the removal of Adamic nature in

man. It is the symbol of loyalty in
faith.

It means laying aside stubbornness

and disobedience toward God.

It involves loving God with all the
