Lately(ltimamente),recently,already(ya), ever(alguna vez),never,since,for, just, never, yet,not yet, so
far(hasta aqu) ,this month,this week,today,in the last year,before,at last, many times, several times,

At 6:00 pm Jon arrived home./At 6:01 we can say: Jon has arrived home.
To talk about our lives,experience: Ive sailed across the Atlantic/ I havent danced the Flamenco.
When we ask people about their lives,we often use ever : Have you ever been to Australia?
When people talk about their lives they sometimes use never : I ve never learned French.
Note : that ever and never come before the past partciple.
Events that began in the past and havent changed (for ,since)
Mike has worked at Nokia for 3 years.(Mike started working at Nokia 3 years ago and he still Works there now)
Julie has worked at Nokia since September last year.(Julie began working at Nokia in September of last year,and that
hasnt changed ,she still works here now.)
To talk about something that happened in the past,but we do not say exactly when it
happened.

Compare with the simple past: I went to Arequipa three times in 2005.
