PRCI : Public Relations Council of India (PRCI), a Registered National body of PR and Communication
professionals, has initiated the process for Accreditation of PR professionals in India.

External publics : The external publics of a company consist of Consumers/Customers,

Community, Mass Media, Government, Financial Institutions, Action Groups and


General Publics.
3. Online shopping : Online shopping (sometimes known as e-tail from "electronic retail" or eshopping) is a form of electronic commerce which allows consumers to directly
buy goods or services from a seller over the Internet using a web browser

Event Management : Event management is the application of project management to the creation
and development of large scale events such as festivals, conferences, ceremonies, formal parties,
concerts, or conventions. It involves studying the brand, identifying the target audience, devising the
event concept, planning the logistics and coordinating the technical aspects before actually launching
the event.

Press release : A press release, news release, media release, press statement or video release is a

written or recorded communication directed at members of the news media for the purpose of
announcing something ostensibly newsworthy. Typically, they are mailed, faxed, or e-mailed to
assignment editors and journalists at newspapers, magazines, radio stations, online media, television
stations or television networks.

PRSI : Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) The national association of PR practitioners was
established in 1958 to promote the recognition of public relations as a profession and to formulate and
interpret to the public the objectives and the potentialities of public relations as a strategic management
function.

The Hindu: The Hindu is an English-language Indian daily newspaper. Headquartered

at Chennai, The Hindu was published weekly when it was launched in 1878, and started publishing
daily in 1889.

10. PIB: The Press Information Bureau, commonly abbreviated as PIB,[1] is a nodal agency of

the Government of India. Based in National Media Centre, New Delhi,[2] Press Information Bureau
disseminates information to the print, electronic and new media on government plans, policies,
programme initiatives and achievements. The PIB is also the Government's nodal agency to facilitate
private media.
11. Pamphlet: is a PR tool . Pamphlet a small booklet or leaflet containing information or arguments

about a single subject.


12. IPRA : The International Public Relations Association (IPRA) was founded 60 years ago, when in

the late 1940s several Dutch and British public relations (PR) practitioners discussed the notion of
organizing public relations professionals into a transnational society.
