Configuring Your Computer for Network and Internet Sharing

1) From your Desktop, right click on Nework Neighborhood > properties

2) A Network Windows will appear. Under Configuration Tab look for


TCP/IP -> (name of your Lan Card) then click on properties

3) A TCP/IP Properties Window will appear. Under IP Address Tab.


Click on Obtain an IP address automatically.

4. Click on Gateway Tab.


Under new Gateway box, input 192.168.0.1 (this is the IP address of your
Server). Then click ADD.

5. Then Click OK to save the changes. The system will ask you to reboot after
copying files. Just click on restart the computer.
6. After rebooting the system, please run MSDOS Prompt, by clicking on Start >
Run> then input the word command and press enter. In the C: prompt type
C:/>PING 192.168.0.1
Then press enter. You must see a message like saying
REPLY FROM..
REPLY FROM.
REPLY FROM.
YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY ESTABLISHED YOUR NETWORK
CONFIG.
7 . You may try now to use the Internet. If OK you may stop from here, but if not
please proceed next page and DO the next procedure.

Configuring Internet Connection Sharing


1) Click on START > SETTINGS > CONTROL PANEL. A new window will
appear. Double click on Add/Remove Program icon

2. Click on Windows Setup tab. And look for Internet Tools from the list.
Click on Details .

3a) If the Internet Connection Sharing is checked already, unchecked it


then Click OK and reboot your PC. Then DO again the procedure from number 1
but this time you must check the Internet Connection Sharing then click on
OK and reboot.
3b) If the Internet Connection Sharing is unchecked already. Checked it
then click OK and reboot your PC.

4) After reboot. You may now try to Use the Internet. Happy surfing!!!
