Learning outcome: - Be able to participate in a selection interview

Task 4e
You have given the problems of employee retention at North Kent College a great
deal of thought and have suggested to your Manager that there is a need to put
together a training day for those employees who carry out interviews in order to
develop good practise when interviewing.

You should prepare a memo outlining the skills that you feel are needed
by interviewers paying particular attention to:
o Body language
o Communication skills
o Listening skills

Refer to pages 346 to 353 of the student text book available on Moodle.
Task 4f
The interviews for the role of Administrative Assistant at North Kent College have
now been completed and the interview panel have selected the most suitable
applicant. As an administrator in the Human Resources department, you have
been asked to send the successful applicant a job offer letter.
Your letter must be formal in terms of design and presentation and must include
the following information:

Start date
Salary rate
Hours of work
Holiday entitlements
Offer being subject to obtaining suitable references

Refer to pages 351 to 353 of the student text book available on Moodle

Bibliography
Make sure that you reference any quotations/information that you have taken from
websites and or text books in your work.
