2. Sabbath School Council meeting postponed to next


Sabbath, July 23rd at 2:00 pm. All teachers and all
others interested in Sabbath School please attend.
3. No Prayer meeting this Wednesday,
July 20th. Our exciting study of Acts
continues July 27! Join your church
family at 7:00 pm sharp as we pray,
share and learn together. Coming up Acts 12:
Death, Miracles, and More Death!
4. Volunteers are needed to setup for VBS
tonight, July 16th after sunset and then
tomorrow, Sunday, July 17th @ 2:00 p.m.
5. The next general church potluck will be held on Sabbath
July 23rd Please bring an item from the section of the
first letter of your last name. Feel free to bring additional
items from any other category. A-C Vegetarian
Chili/Stew, D-F Drink/Juice, G-I Bread/Bun, J-M Main
course/Casserole, N-R Dessert/Fruit,. S-Z Salad/Raw
vegetables. Please bring all items ready to be
served. This is an opportunity to say farewell to Alonso,
Patricia and their family as they explore new
opportunities in Oshawa. Lets share all our great
memories and celebrate all the many ways they have
blessed our church family.

Events
6. London church team will meet Windsor and
Sarnia churches for a soccer tournament
at Edwards Soccer Pitch in Petrolia, (for
GPS: 4035 EDWARD ST, Petrolia, ON). On
August 21, 2016. Soccer practice this Sunday, at 6:00
p.m. at Deveron soccer field behind Food Basics. Please
contact Rixon Gultom if youre interested.

Encouraging Thought:
Every Christian should be a witness to the love of Christ.
Every Christian can begin a chain of witnessing that can
grow exponentially. Every Christian can be a shining light
that manifests the glory of God wherever he or she goes.
Christ Himself has given us the example of how we are to
work. In Matthew 4, we can learn the methods that Jesus,
the Prince of life, used in His teaching. Quoting the prophet
Isaiah, "The people who sat in darkness have seen a great
light, and upon those who sat in the region and shadow of
death Light has dawned" (Matthew 4:13 16). What light?
The glory of God was reflected in the lives of the disciples,
and they, in turn, shared Jesus among those whom they
knew. "We are to go forth to proclaim the goodness of God
and to make plain His real character before the people. We
are to reflect His glory. Have we done this. . . Have we
revealed the character of our Lord by precept and
example?" (Faith and Works, p. 61).

The Sanctified Life


Our Saviour claims all there is of us; He asks our first and
holiest thoughts, our purest and most intense affection. If we
are indeed partakers of the divine nature, His praise will be
continually in our hearts and upon our lips. Our only safety is
to surrender our all to Him and to be constantly growing in
grace and in the knowledge of the truth. xii12 The
sanctification set forth in the Sacred Scriptures has to do with
the entire beingspirit, soul, and body. Here is the true idea
of entire consecration. Paul prays that the church at
Thessalonica may enjoy this great blessing. "The very God of
peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit
and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming
of our Lord Jesus Christ" 1 Thessalonians 5:23.
