commenced,therectificationofbirthchart).Rulingplanetsare
1.Daylord(DL)
2.MoonSignlord(MSL)
3.MoonNakshatralord(MNL)
4.AscendantSignlord(ASL)
5.AscendantNakshatralord(ANL)
ThesefiverulingplanetsshouldbeamongAscendantSignLord,AscendantNakshatraLordand
AscendantSublordinthebirthchartofthenative.IftheRulingPlanetsatthetimeofjudgmentarenot
matchingwiththeAscendantSignLord,AscendantNakshatraLord,andAscendantSublordinnative's
birthchart,itmeansthebirthtimeprovidedtotheastrologerisnotcorrectandrequiresrectification.
TheDayLordistakenasperHindudaysystemwhichstartsfromSunriseandendsonthenextsunrise.
ItisNOTcalculatedfrom12OClockMidnighttonext12OClockmidnight.Forexampleifsomebody
bornonFebruary11,2011at4:00AMatAgra,UP,INDIA,itwillbeThursdayandNOTFridaybecause
4:00AMisbeforesunriseonFebruary11,2011.
IfRahuorKetuareactingasanagenttoanyoftherulingplanetsatthetimeofjudgment,thosewill
alsobeincludedasrulingplanet.Forexample,ifanynode(RahuorKetu)isinconjunctionorreceiving
aspectfromanyoftherulingplanets,orifitoccupiesthesignownedbytherulingplanet,thenode
shouldbeincludedinlistoftherulingplanets.
Incaseweneedlessrulingplanets,rulingplanetsthatareinthestarorsubofretrogradeplanets,can
beomitted.
Amongtherulingplanets,AscendantNakshatraLord,AscendantSignlord,Moon'sNakshatraLord,
Moon'sSignlordandtheDayLordaretakeninorderofstrengthi.e.AscendantNakshatraLordisthe
mostpowerfulrulingplanetandDaylordistheleastpowerful.Thisstrengthisusefulwhenwehaveto
selectfewamongalltherulingplanets.
