Reflection Paper about the Visit in GMA


On last July 2016, we have a field trip tour at GMA Network company which is also my first time to
go there, before going at the said tv station of course I expect a lot of things such as having a much more
knowledge about our course and also to our elective course this semester which is broadcasting. Upon
arriving at the GMA network I feel very excited on what will I see inside the company I am very excited to
see the design of every studio and what its look like. So when the tour start and we see the three types of
broadcasting in the network which is the Television, FM and AM broadcasting I feel amazed of what I saw
first I thought they have a studio but not as big as what I saw I really love the studio designing with many
lights,monitor and cameras, not simple cameras but also have the technology which the news anchor can
see the script right in front of the camera so it may look like that the news anchors really knows the script
very well. Also the super sound proof studio that they are using in big events like party pilipinas. The very
educational part for me was going to Technical Operation Center because the tour guide that explaining is
one of the member of the TOC department. So he explain to us what is the purpose of TOC. The guide tell
us about hoe the audio recording works, airing GMA channel at other countries and also how signal is
transmit and receive inside the studio.
This field trip is really educational because all of us students who attend the GMA tour gain more
knowledge about our course. May expectation did not failed me because I absorbed a lot of knowledge not
only about technical works but also in emotional aspects as an employee.
