2 School of the air Teachers notes

Aim
In this lesson, students read and learn about School of the Air, and write an e-mail about their own
school day.

discuss what the School of the Air might be.
Ask them to look at the photo for ideas.
Ask a few students to share their ideas with
the class.
Read the text with the students and ask them

Ask the students to make notes about the
points on the list.
Then put them in pairs and tell them to ask
and answer questions about the thing in the
list. If necessary, elicit the questions students
will need to ask before they begin, e.g. How
many students are there in your school/class?
What lessons do you have? What are your
favourite subjects? Who are your teachers?
Who are your classmates? What do you do
after school?
Monitor and help where necessary.
Then ask the students to work on their own
and write an e-mail to Bradley about their
school, using their notes to help them.
Note: The writing stage of this activity could
be set for homework.
