With reference to your online application for the post of General Workman-B (Trainee) - MECHANICAL in the Scale of Pay of Rs.1150020000 in our Corporation against our advertisement dated 20th May, 2016, you are requested to appear for a written test as detailed below:

This call letter for written test is provisional and you are eligible to attend the written test only if you satisfy the following conditions.
i) You were born on or after 01.06.1986 (relaxed to 01.06.1983 for OBC candidates & 01.06.1981 for SC/ST candidates). Age relaxation to
PWD candidates, Ex-servicemen and for those who have domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir during the period 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989, will
be as per Government Guidelines.
ii) You possess First Class Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Full time course) with 60% marks or above from a recognized
Indian University/Institute (BOTH FIRST CLASS AND 60% MARKS COMPULSORY). (60% marks is relaxed to 50% for Scheduled
Caste/Scheduled Tribe & Hearing/Orthopedically Handicapped candidates.) {Candidates having Diploma in Engineering in any other
discipline viz., Mechanical (Production), Mechanical (Tool & Die Engg.), Mechanical (Medical Lab), Mechanical (Maintenance),
Mechanical (Automobile), Mechanical (Foundry Tech), Mechatronics etc., and any other Diploma in Engineering equivalent to
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering are not eligible for consideration. Engineering Graduates including AMIE holders (even after
qualifying DME) are also not eligible for consideration}.
Please also note that, only male candidates are eligible for consideration for the position.
DOCUMENTS TO BE PRODUCED FOR ATTENDING THE WRITTEN TEST :
1. Duly filled and photo affixed IDENTITY-CUM-ADMIT CARD (format given below and printout should be taken in A-4 size
paper).
2. Photocopy of Diploma in Engineering Certificate (Provisional certificate issued by Board of Technical Examinations of the
state concerned is acceptable at this stage).
3. Photocopy of Caste Certificate (OBC/SC/ST), Disability Certificate (PWD), Discharge Certificate (Ex-Servicemen), if
applicable.
4. A valid Photo Identity proof (viz., PAN card/Passport/Driving License/Voters Card etc.) in original.
(NO CANDIDATE WILL BE PERMITTED TO ATTEND THE WRITTEN TEST IF THEY FAIL TO PRODUCE ANY OF THE ABOVE
DOCUMENTS) (Documents at Sl.Nos.1, 2 & 3 should be stapled together in the same order and document at Sl.No.4 should be
produced before the invigilator in the examination hall). Please note that, photocopy of the Diploma Engineering Certificate is
compulsory and candidates will not be permitted to attend the written test by producing the original of the certificate alone).
MOBILE PHONES, CALCULATORS, DIGITAL DIARIES, BLUE TOOTH DEVICES, SCIENTIFIC WATCHES etc. WILL NOT BE ALLOWED
IN THE EXAMINATION HALL.
You are also requested to bring a ball point pen (black ink only) for the written test.
If you belong to the OBC community and wish to be considered against the OBC reservation quota, you should have a copy of community
certificate (dated on or after 01.06.2016) for applying for posts under the Government of India (Ref.W.R.No.12011/68/93/BCC (C) dated 10th
September 1993) from a competent authority certifying that you do not belong to the Creamy Layer of the OBC community. If you belong to
the SC/ST community and wish to be considered against the SC/ST reservation quota, you should have with you the certificate concerned in
the prescribed format from a competent authority that you belong to the SC/ST community. A photocopy of the caste certificate
(OBC/SC/ST, as applicable) should be attached along with the above documents at the time of Written Test. Candidates who are
presently working in a Government / Semi-Government / Public Sector undertaking, should obtain a NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE from
their present employer and need to furnish this document at the time of Skill/Proficiency Test.
We will not be able to entertain any requests for changing the date and time of written test and those who are coming late for the written test
will not be allowed in the examination hall. Reimbursement of travelling expense to SC/ST/PWD candidates will be as per norms and eligible
candidates will have to submit the TA claim form (format forwarded to candidates email ID) at the time of written test. Reimbursement will be
credited to the Bank Account mentioned in the TA Claim form on a later date. All other candidates will have to make their own
arrangements at their own expense for attending the written test. Please quote your roll number for all future correspondence as well as
for the written test. Skill/Proficiency test will be conducted on a later date which will be communicated (thru email) only to those
candidates who will be shortlisted based on the performance in the written test.
Please note that this letter does not constitute an offer of employment to you in BPCL, Kochi Refinery. The mere fact that the call letter has
been issued to you does not imply that your candidature has been finally accepted by the Corporation. You may please note that, the
verification of all eligibility conditions will be done with the original documents only at the time of skill/proficiency test. If at any stage, it is found
that you do not satisfy the eligibility criteria as given in our advertisement, your candidature is liable to be cancelled forthwith, with such further
action as the Corporation would like to take.
