Anaconda
The anaconda is largest snake in the world. Also known as the Water Boa. This giant meateater lives in swampy areas of tropical South America. It spends a lot of time in shallow water,
hidden from unsuspecting prey. Anacondas are related to boa constrictors. They give birth to 20 to
40 baby snakes at one time. Like all snakes, anacondas are cold-blooded; they have the same
temperature environment.
They continue to grow all their lives, getting bigger and bigger each year. The longest
anaconda ever found was 11.4 m long, there are probably even bigger anacondas that have not
been seen. Anacondas are greenish-brown with a double row of black oval spots on the back and
smaller white markings on the sides.

Natural Disasters
I dont know about you, but I think there are more natural disasters now than before. Every
time I turn on the news theres some kind of disaster. There are bushfires in Australia and
California, earthquakes in China, hurricanes in Mexico and droughts in Africa. Im sure global
warming is creating more natural disasters. Im lucky. Where I live, we dont really have natural
disasters. Ive never experienced anything like the things on TV. Japan has many natural disasters.
They have earthquakes, typhoons, flooding, volcanoes, all kinds of things. They are lucky they
have the money to deal with them. There are countries in Africa that arent rich. When a natural
disaster hits them, everyone suffers terribly.

The Polar Bear


The polar bear is a bear native to the Arctic ocean and its surrounding seas. An adult male
weights about 4 hundred to six hundred and eighty kilograms, while an adult female is about half
that size although it is closely related to the brown bear.
It has paws to occupy a narrow ecological niche with many bony characteristics adapted to
for cold temperatures, for moving across the snow , ice, open water, and for hunting seals which
make up most of its diets.
Although most of polar bears are brown on land, it spends most of its time at sea , hence
its name meaning maritime bear and can hunt consistently only from sea ice. It spends much of
the year on frozen sea.
