Reset
Connect DEFAULT jumper on the main board, power on the system, The screen will shows:
ROISCOK
Please Wait
After about 20seconds, screen will shows:
To Install
Press *
Reset is finished, Now please disconnect the DEFAULT Jumper.
2. Add Keypad
When the screen shows:

To Install
Press *
Then press * button, and input the install code(Default code is 0248), press # to
confirm it, Then the screen will shows:
INSTALLER PROG:
1)SYSTEM

It is the Installation Menu.


Pressorto select the 7th submenu
7) ACCESSORIES
Press# to enter, and select 1st submenu
1)ADD/DEL MDL
Press# to enter, and select 1st submenu, the 2nd submenu is add expension models
1)KEYPAD
Press#to enter, the screen will shows:
KEYPADS:
ID=01 TYPE=NONE
Press ARMorSTAYto set TYPE=LCD, and press#to confirm it, then the screen
will shows:
ASSIGN TO PAR:
KEYP=01
PAR= 1
Press #to confirm the default setting, screen will shows:
P=1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 KP=01
yyyyyyyy

Press #to confirm the default setting, screen will shows:


KEYPADS:
ID=02 TYPE=NONE
The 1st keypad is added already. Press * to go back to the previous menu.
If there are more than one keypads, pls change the DIP SWITCH behind the keypad, so
that the different keypads will not be repeated. And add the other keypads with the same
ways.
Pls see the Page 31 of the RP248CN User manual to learn more.
3. Zone Terminal Type Setting
Select the zone setting menu:

Press #to enter, screen will shows:
SUBJECT: ZONES
1)ONE BY ONE
Select the 5th sub menu
5)TERMINATION
Press #to enter, screen will shows:
TERMINATION:
ZONE # =01 (00:01)
Press #to enter, screen will shows:

TERMINATION: 01
2)EOL
According the the actual connection to select the type.(Default is EOL:connect one 2.2K
resistor)
1) N/C
Normal close
2) EOL
connect one 2.2K resistor
3) DEOL
connect TWO 2.2K resistor
4) N/O
Normal Open
Press #to enter, screen will shows:
TERMINATION:
ZONE # =02 (00:02)

The Terminal type of the 1st zone is finished, pls set the other zones with same way.
4. Zone Type setting
Back to zone setting menu
2)ZONES
Press #to enter, screen will shows:
SUBJECT: ZONES
1)ONE BY ONE
Select 3rd submenu
3) ZONE TYPE
Press #to enter, screen will shows:
ZONE TYPE:
ZONE # =01 (00:01)
Press #to enter, screen will shows:
ZONE TYPE: 01
1)EX/EN1
Press , set the zone type, for example, if you want to set zone 1 as a panic zone, pls set
the zone type as 15PANIC(or input 15 via keypad directly)
screen will shows:

Press #to enter, screen will shows:

ZONE # =02 (00:02)
Pls set the other zone type with the same way..
5. Zone Sound Setting
Select the zone setting menu:

Press #to enter, screen will shows:

Select 4th submenu


4) ZONE SOUND
Press #to enter, screen will shows:

ZONE SOUND:
ZONE # =01 (00:01)
Press #to enter, screen will shows:

2)BELL ONLY
Press , set the zone type as 1SILENT(or input 1 via keypad directly)
screen will shows:
ZONE SOUND: 01
1)SILENT
Press #to enter, screen will shows:
ZONE SOUND:
ZONE # =02 (00:02)
The sound of zone 1 is set already, (SILENT means no sound, you can set other type
according actual requirement), and set the other zones with the same way.
6. Set the alarm when telephone line is cut
Select the menu to:

Select the 2nd submenu:

then press#to save it.
7. Alarm central number setting
Select the menu to:

Press #to enter, screen will shows:

1)TEL. NUMBERS
Press #to enter, screen will shows:
PHONE NUMBER:
1)MS TEL.. NO.1
Press #to enter, screen will shows:
MS TEL. NO.1:
Input the alarm central number and press # to save it.
8. Set the User Number
Select the menu to:
5DIALER
Press #to enter, screen will shows:
SUBJ:DIALER
1)TEL. NUMBERS
Press to select the 2nd menu, it will shows:
SUBJ:DIALER
2)ACCOUNTS
Press #to enter, screen will shows:
NO.1: CODE001111
Set the number as the user number that the alarm central offered, press# to save it.

9. set the communication protocol between the control panel and alarm central station
Select the menu to:
5DIALER
Press #to enter, screen will shows:
SUBJ:DIALER
1)TEL. NUMBERS
Press to 3rd submenu,
COMM FORMAT
1)FOR 1ST TEL.
Press #to enter, screen will shows:
FOR 1ST TEL:
FORMAT : 0000.
Set the protocol as :0420, press #to save it.
10. Alarm code settingContact ID

11. No delay when dialing, no check before dialing setIt will alarm when press panic button

In the 5th submenu (DIAL TONE), set YtoNwith the same way, press#to save
it.

13. Exit and save setting.
Firstly, pls make sure the DEFAULT Jumper is disconnected.(OFF status), select the 0 menu

Press #to enter, screen will shows:

Ymeans Yes , Press #to enter, screen will shows:

DATA SAVING..
The system will recovery after serveral seconds.
14. Setting follow me number
When the system at disarm status, the screen will show:

Press#againthe screen will show:

Now you can input the telephone number and press # to confirm it.The screen will

show:

If you want to input the next telephone number,press # and input the
number,thenpress #to save it. 8 follow-me number can be set at most.

Notice:
*: means back to the last menu
#: means enter into the menu or confirm or save data
STAY,ARM: means change data or submenu when the system at programmed status
