Seeds Institute Electric Current: Date 21/04/2011 Class - X

This document contains a list of 10 practice problems related to electric current and charge for a Class X DPP (Daily Practice Problems) session. The problems cover calculating charge, current, number of electrons, and electric force based on given values like amount of current, time, charge on an electron, and distance between charges. They provide examples of how to use the relationships between these electrical concepts to solve quantitative problems.

1. A conductor carries a current of 0.2 A. Find the amount of charge that will
pass through the cross section of the conductor in 30 sec. How many
electrons will flow in this time interval if the charge on one electron is 1.6
x10-19 C?
2. The filament of an electric lamp draws a current of 0.4 A which lights for 3
hours. Calculate the amount the charge that flow through the circuit
3. An electric iron draws a current of 0.5 A when voltage is 200 V. calculate the
amount of charge flowing through it in one hour.
4. n electron flow through cross section of a conductor in time t. If the charge
on an electron is e. Write an expression for the current in the conductor.
5. 0.5 C charge passes through a cross section of a conductor in 5 sec. Find the
current.
6. A polythene piece rubbed with wool is found to have negative charge of 3 x
10 -7 C. Estimate the number of electrons transferrend .
7. Calculate the current in a wire if 1500C charge is passed through in 5
minutes.
8. A current of 0.5 A is drawn by a filament of an electric bulb for 10 minutes.
Find the amount of electric charge that flows through the electric circuit.
9. What is the smallest electric force between two charge placed at a distance of
1.0 m.
10.What is the electric force between charge q1 and q2 placed at a distance of 10
cm. q1 =2c and q2 = 3c.
