Creativity, Activity and Service: Evaluation Tool

Homeroom: 11R

Name: Shivam

Date:29/05/2016

This rubric is based on the IST ATL Rubric and incorporates ideas and suggestions of the Class of 2017. It is designed to supplement
the Learning Outcomes and requirements as stipulated on http://gotwicas.wordpress.com in order to support students in their CAS
learning. Each term, CAS students will use this tool to assess their engagement in C, A and S experiences and projects. Consideration of
participation and documentation is required during this self-evaluation process. Students may choose to award themselves a letter for each bullet
pointed expectation, or for the skill cluster as a whole, according to their individual needs. Anecdotal evidence must be provided for each letter
awarded.

In all my cas group I

try to the est of my
ability to collaborate
with diverse groups,
for example in
Mother teresa I had
tried to play with
kids one time than
spend it with
elderlies, I usually
spend time with the
elderlies when I am
there. In cricket I
play matches against
other groups of
people, recently My
team had organised
an event where we
play against of local
maasai's just for
publicity for our
sponsors and to see
what they have to
offer. I treat everyone
with genuine respect,
and I always listen to
what they have to say
and their Ideas. If
my members do not
contribute money or
something, I
understand their
plight of whatever
they might be going
through, and I pay
for them (Bake sale
donations).
Whenever we have
workshops in TAT, I
try to take the lead,
and I tell everyone
how we should do
things and start a

discussion.
Whenever someone
has something to say
in both TAT and
cricket, I take it into
consideration.

Keep an organized and

Follow systems and
processes for various aspects

Make choices rooted in

your interests and passions.
Show commitment and
perseverance to CAS
experiences and projects

In my cricket
activity I had set
goals which are
challenging,and
would help me
towards my cricket
shot playing in
cricket, I had created
a type of batting
practice activity in
my house, and
whenever there was
no cricket that day, I
would go and
practice that. I
would set goals to
improve my
physical skills I hold
in the game of
cricket.I would plan
a team training with
my cricket crew and
make sure atleast 57 people would
attend cricket at 5 in
the afternoon.
Whenever I go to
my cricket activity I
make sure I take my
whole kit with me to
practice, so I am
fully prepared for all
my practices. My
website accurately
captures my CAS
programme. I have a
organised and
coherent CAS
portfolio. I also
follow various
aspects of CAS.
I have made recent
changes so I can do
my service in
according to what
my passion is,

Demonstrate resilience
when dealing with
disappointments, unmet
expectations and change
Approach CAS with
optimism, even in the face of
adversity
Demonstrate selfmotivation, and seek to
motivate others

Cricket.I will be
teaching children
how to play the
game of cricket. I
feel like I am
meeting expectation
in terms of doing
things based on my
personal interest. I
have shown
commitment
towards my activity
as I go everyday, but
I haven't gone
recently due to
exams and the rainy
season has not
allowed my team to
play in those
conditions. I have
demonstrated
resilience by just
accepting the fact
that I can not attend
cricket training. For
GISS I had to
approach with
optimism, like I
always had hope
that one of the 5
changemakers I
contact would reply,
even though at the
end of it none of
them did. When
some people in my
committee decided
it's too hard they
started taking things
easy, I tried to help
them regarding with
decisions and tried
to motivate my team
members.

Reflective
Skills
(consideri
ng the
process of
learning)

Reflect in four
dimensions
Submit a range of
different types of evidence to
demonstrate learning
outcomes are being worked
towards and met
Initiate reflective
discussions
Seek support from
peers, teachers and family
Identify personal
strengths and weaknesses and
set goals accordingly
Build on experiences
and reevaluate actions
according to reflection
Consider the 7 learning
outcomes as part of ongoing
reflection

What highlights/ challenges/ thoughts/ ideas do you want to share in your kiCAS Conversation?

In all of my cas
areas I feel I can do
so much more as in
the reflective part of
my CAS. I do not do
that many when the
time is right. It is
very hard to do
weekly diaries of
my CAS for cricket
because my coach
does not like the
usage of phones
during training. I
submit pictures,
videos, and a lot of
writing when it
comes to my
reflections, I feel
this is great because
i am using many
varieties of ways to
reflect. In all my cas
groups whenever we
do something that is
meaningful for
example a day of
training and/or bake
sales or mother
teresa visits I tend to
lead reflective
discussions.
