Language Arts
Reading- Next week we will begin our first story
which is The Mixed-Up Chameleon by Eric Carle.
We will have a practice comprehension test on
Friday.

Math Expressions
We have been working hard in math this week.
Students have been learning doubles strategies,
which we call doubles +1, doubles -1, as well as
loooooong equation chains. Keep working at
home on memorizing basic addition and
subtraction facts to twenty. The faster students
know their fast facts, the easier they will pick up
our Math Expressions curriculum. I am so
thankful for your support at home! Thank you!
Dont forget that Math Homework goes home on
Tuesday, unless your child did not finish his/her
work during class.

Reminders
Specials 12:35-1:20
Monday Technology
Tuesday Art
Wednesday Gym
Thursday Music
Friday Gym
Lunch 11:00-11:30
Recess/Snack 1:30-1:45
**Please remember that the school does not
provide snack for students. Please send a snack
from home if your child is hungry.

Spelling-Students will get spelling words each

week. On Wednesday will be our pre-test and
Fridays are their final test. If your child receives
100% on the pre-test they will be a Bubble Gum
Speller and will play games on Friday instead of
taking final Spelling test.
ELA Homework- Spelling words should be
practiced weekly and students should be reading
daily. Unfinished classroom work will be sent
home and will be the only homework, which needs
to be turned in for Ms. G.
**If you have not done so already, please fill out
and turn in the emergency and volunteer forms.
No adult may help out in the classroom or
building, attend field trips, etc. without a
volunteer form on file.
**Check out our classroom weebly page
(crullcomets.weebly.com) often! We are going to
add pictures of classroom learning often, and will
post all newsletters online as well.
