crafted vs. RE
Crafted engines are generally faster. However for
balanced PYR / speed engines the best RE engines
are very usable. Crafted engines have generally
higher drain.

Lower level crafted reactors are competitive, but


Mark IV - VI have generally worse energy/mass
ratio than the best RE reactors.
Crafted regular capacitosr have usually very
competitive recharge are, average capacitor
energy and poor energy drain. Especially crafted
Deepwell collection reward capacitors are hard to
match with RE capacitors.
Fighter sized RE shields are generally better than
crafted. However crafted GS and POB shields are
easily better than even the best RE shields.

Crafted droid interfaces are superior in quality.

The best crafted weapons are competitive.


For level 8 weapons Borstel Disruptor and Incom
Tri-Cannon reward weapons provide great basis
for reverse engineering projects with their very
low E/S values.

Crafted boosters have superior stats except that


they have higher energy drain. Only exceptionally
good level 4 and 8 RE boosters can get close to
crafted boosters.

Lower level crafted armor is very competitive.


Higher level crafted armors are heavier than the
best looted armors.
