Lick10 Tab

The document provides a fusion guitar lick called Lick 10 written by Martin Miller. It uses diatonic triads moving up the neck of the guitar via slides in G dorian. The descending part was played from muscle memory and may be difficult to recreate note for note slowly. The lick is included to spark creativity and raise the player's fusion skills. An audio recording and tab of the lick is also provided.

20 FUSION LICKS
These licks will spark your creativity in
no time, and seriously raise your fusion
game!

LICK 10
Martin says...
This lick uses a combination of two sequences. The first one is based on diatonic triads on
the top two strings moving up horizontally via slides. Try to go up and down the entire neck
with this principle, using only the notes of G dorian. Once youve done the work, this kind of
sequence will be a useful addition to your improvisational vocabulary. You might just use a
few notes from it to connect idea A with idea B.
The descending part was played entirely from muscle memory. I probably wouldnt be able
to recreate it note for note slowly. Its just one of those things that you developed almost like
a habit. Just go for it and hopefully itll come out clean! ;)
