Week 4
Recap
10/5/2016
ESPN DOESNT WANT TO GIVE UP POWER RANKINGS, THEN WE CAN DO OUR OWN THING!

ALL THE NEWS THATS FIT TO PRINT, KINDA

3 Undefeated teams enter the week, 3

undefeated teams win again.
Fresh Makers (FMK) 4-0
The Porters (TP) 1-3

79.3
71.6

The number 1 ranked Fresh Makers faced off

against the 1-2 team, The Porters. The Fresh
Makers went in as a heavy favorite but they
squeaked out a close win, 79.3 to 71.6. The
Porters are suffering through some serious
injuries this season, losing their top ranked
running back (Adrian Peterson) and top
ranked receiver (Sammy Watkins) but they
managed to make it an exciting game
despite missing their first and third round
draft picks. The Fresh Makers were led by big
games from their top 2 draft picks and a QB
they picked up through free agency, the
semi-dangerous Alex Smith.
Next up for the Fresh Makers will be the 3-1
Robinsons Raiders, who knocked the Team
Has No Name out of the undefeated ranks in
week 3. The Porters will take on the 2-2
Chalupa Batman team.
Chico Knightmares (JF) 4-0
Sacks In The City (Sax) 0-4

108.9
77.5

The number 2 ranked Chico Knightmares

won against the winless Sacks In The City
team, 108.9 to 77.5. The Knightmares had a
huge game from their QB Blake Bortles,
totaling 25.6 points in the win, and top RB
Ezekeil Elliot also went large with 21.7 points.

The City team was led by the sometimes

injured, sometimes amazing Julio Jones and
his unreal 300 yard, 1 TD day! That was worth
36 points out of her total of 77.5. Still playing
without a TE is not helping so far, but Tyler
Eifert looks like he may be back in time for
their next game.
The Knightmares take their undefeated
streak into next week against Team Mini
Wheats and their 2-2 record, while Sacks will
be up against another undefeated team, My
Son is My MVPs.
My Son Is My MVP (JB) 4-0
Coralville PotentPotables (MDUB)

but since the MVPs had the Texans D/ST,

they also got the 6 points on the play.
The Potables go up against Anna and her
Team Awesome who are coming off a tough
win against Autopicked Madness. The MVPs
will face their yearly kryptonite game against
Sacks In The City, where Christina finds a
way to knock the crud out of the MVPs no
matter how her team is currently doing.

84.2
73.7

The final undefeated team, My Son is My

MVP played a close game against new owner
Mark and his Coralville PotentPotables team.
Both owners ended up having their better
QB stats sitting on their benches this week
with Derek Carr getting 22.8 points vs starter
Drew Brees and his 11.6 while Matthew
Stafford got the start with only 7.7 points and
Russell Wilson had easily his best game of
the year with 23.5 points while he was
collecting pine. The MVPs did get a large
bundle of points from newly acquired
Terrance West and his 17.3 points and even
lucked out when the Potables flex player,
Will Fuller V ran a kick back for a touchdown,

Stat Line of the Week

Who had the biggest impact of the week? Did it
help their team to a win or was it just impressive
in defeat?

SHASTA QA FANTASY FOOTBALL WEEK 4 RECAP | Issue 1

Looks like the best line of the week was just
not enough to help Christina upset James in
their matchup. Julio Jones racked up a ton of
yardage but only found the endzone one
time, or it might have been even more
unreal.

Sheilas Raiders were too much for Shawns Save

Martha Team. Even with Cam Newton getting the
living snot beat out of him, she had enough points
from her other players to help her get past the
Marthas. Most of the Marthas underperformed
on the week with the major exception of Allen
Robinson who racked up 11.5 points when he was
projected to get 0. If only Eli and the rest of the
scrubs had stepped up to help, it could have been
a closer match.

Erics Team Has No Name, had a lot of points

instead. If it wasnt for such a poor performance
from the Jets D/ST, they would have cracked
th
triple digits for sure. As it was, they still had the 5
highest point total for the week. On the flip side
however, Rodneys Steam Rollers were the team
that looked flattened. Phillip Rivers did decently,
but it would have helped to have Eddie Royal in
the lineup rather than any of the starters. In
Rodneys defense, NOBODY would expect Royal
to outscore Odell Beckham Jr. by nearly 5 to 1.
Chalupa Batman (BAT) 2-2
Team Mini Wheats (LORD) 2-2

Tims Batman team continued to put up big

numbers, going over 100 points 3 out of the first 4
weeks, and only missing it in Week 1 when they
97.9. Team Mini Wheats had the misfortune
The Best Last Second Grab got
of not fighting for the win in this game, but

This was the closest game of the week, with Ansel

and Rebecca being the unfortunate owners that
scored over 100 points and LOST. Annas Team
Awesome squeaked out a close game, thanks to
some big points from Ben Roethlisberger (Take
that auto correct!) with 33.9 points! Ansel and
Rebecca had a player with a huge game of their
own with Michael Crabtree scoring 26.8 points.
Both teams had their best possible lineups active
too, with Madness leaving 1.4 points on the bench
and Team Awesome with 0 points left behind.
th
Madness had the 4 highest points of the week,
rd
but they played the team with the 3 highest
total. Talk about great timing!
