INTRODUCTION

The children concern for Perks

MORAL VALUES/LESSON
LEARNT

The children are kind towards Perks whom they regard as a friend.
They go around the village to collect the birthday presents in order to
make Perks birthday celebration special event.
The Old Gentlemans kindness towards the children.

The Old Gentleman is kind towards the children when he gives them the
food and medicine they need for Mothers recovery from her illness.
The Old Gentleman also helps the children to prove of their fathers
innocent.

Children by Edith Nesbit, there are
several events in the story that had
taught me some lesson.
Example of opening sentence
-Firstly,this novels teaches me the value

*Kindness and concern


for others

-This is showed by several characters in


the story such as
Conclusive idea:
These events teach us that we should be
kind and concern for others and most
importantly, do not be selfish in life.

Landslide incident

The childrens concern for the safety of the train passengers. They warn
an oncoming train of a landslide up ahead.
Peter admits to stealing the coal from the train station yard
The children admit to Mother that they wrote a letter to the Old
Gentleman, requesting for help in sending food and medicine for her
when she was sick.

Father is arrested and taken away on the charges of spying.


The children and their Mother have to live without Father.
The children wave at the 9.15 a.m train and pretend to send their love
to Father via that train.
They hope that their Father will return home soon and reunite with the
family again.
Roberta is hopeful and optimism that Father is innocent.
The Old Gentleman who helps Roberta to free Father is also optimistic of
Fathers innocence.

that, we should also be truthful and responsible of our action. Last but
not least, we must be hopeful and optimistic so that we will manage to
overcome all the challenges in life.
