A LETTER OF COMMITMENT

Dear God,
Today I commit myself to serve You with all my heart, to offer to you my time,
treasures and talents. Please help me become a good follower of Your son Jesus
Christ.
In my family, that I will always remember to be grateful to my parents for all
the sacrifices they have made for me. I will not resort to anything that will
disappoint them. For all those times that I knew Ive hurt them badly yet I cant
express myself, please whisper to their ears how sorry and regretful I am to what I
have done.
As a student, I will always be diligent and hardworking. I will not waste my
parents sacrifices by cutting classes and . I will do my best to hone my knowledge
and to secure my future. I will not resort to any form of dishonesty such as cheating,
forgery, and plagiarism. I will carry the weight of responsibilities in exams,
assignments, and projects. I will not forget that what I do to my studies, I do to my
future.
And lastly, as the future of this country, I will live a life of purity and
goodness. I will strongly say NO to drugs, smoking, drinking, and gambling. I will
keep myself pure in thoughts, words, and actions. I will reject the temptations of
pornography, masturbation, and above all, premarital sex. I will avoid backbiting
and cursing for I know those can offend you. And though hurt, disappointed, and
betrayed by others, I will not seek revenge, rather, forgiveness. I will be a role
model of changing for the better.
All these I solemnly pledge as I surrender my life to You. Please send me the
gifts of the Holy Spirit that I may be able to live these words I have proclaimed
today. I have made my stand, please help me my Lord.
