The CPE Section B of RMTU conducted a community extension program in Sitio ADBSA, Palanginan, Iba, Zambales on October 4, 2016. The program's theme was "OPLAN KKK: Kalinisan, Kalusugan, at Kahandaan tungo sa ligtas at magandang bukas" and aimed to educate residents on cleanliness, health, and disaster awareness. CPE extends Awareness Program

thru Remote Community Immersion


Peter Paul Q. Padios
Equipped with enthusiasm to help others and well-coordinated with the
AFP officers, the Certificate of Professional Education (CPE) section B
under the Institute of Evening Opportunity Programs (IEOP) of Ramon
Magsaysay Technological University (RMTU) conducted their Community
Extension Program at the Sitio ADBSA, Palanginan, Iba, Zambales, October
4, 2016.
Themed: OPLAN KKK: Kalinisan, Kalusugan, at Kahandaan tungo sa ligtas
at magandang bukas, the CPE B spread the concept of cleanliness, health
and disaster awareness which educated the residents including the ADBSA
Elementary school students and their parents and relative.
The CPE expressed their eagerness to conduct this program through the
active cooperation of the members and the leadership of the officers. Each
person involved acted upon their designated task which made the event a
success.
On the other hand, this is the story of how the whole program ended
successfully. The night before the extension program, the CPE B students
held their meeting to tackle and finalize the preparations for tomorrows
activity. The meeting was presided by Engr. Peter Paul Q. Padios, CPE B
class vice president, at the same time, Mr. Karl Reyes, CPE B presidents
together with Mr. Arnold Limbag, committee for documentations and Ms.
Maricar Punay, CPE B secretary finalized the programs and certificates.
The members agreed to meet up on the next day at exactly 5:00am in
front of the RMTU Gate. The night ended with high hopes of a successful
program.
On the day of the event, everyone who are expected to appear at the meet
up venue have arrived. The time of arrival was move up to 5:30 am due to
other matters. The CPE B started to depart and proceed to the site for
preparations.
They arrived earlier than the expected 7:00 am arrival. Everyone were
surprised after they witness how lively the students are. The simplicity of
their lifestyle moved the hearts of the CPE B students and made them
realize how lucky they are.
During the registration, everyone helped in the preparation of the stage,
the foods, the room utilizations and other matters.
The program started with an opening prayer brought by the AVP, followed
by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem. Engr. John Mark S.

Mirando and Ms. Lyanne Ruanto stood as the masters of ceremony and
made the program as lively as it could be.
Furthermore, Engr. Padios rendered his opening remarks and greeted all
the participants while Dr. Novrina Bigilda A. Orge delivered her
inspirational message, thanking everyone who exerted their efforts for the
activity to be successful and the cooperation of Sitio ADBSA residents.
The lectures started simultaneously with Mr. Alfe R. Mariano together with
his wife Engr. Jenielyn M. Mariano who discussed about cleanliness
through a wonderful story telling enjoyed by the students.
On the other hand, Ms. Elleim Cabato, RN. Discussed about health with the
parents and other children from ABDSA.
Ms. Raiza Marie Mahinay and Mr. Karl Reyes at the same time discussed
the readiness and awareness of the disaster management among the
residents of ADBSA.
An intermission number was also performed by Mr. Julius Maya as the
leader. Different games were also facilitated and actively participate by
the students.
Moreover, a community dance number were also participated by the CPE B
members together with all the participants.
Everyone were happy during the lunch break for the food prepared were
enough to cater the participants.
The program ended with the awarding of certificates and the closing
remarks of Mr. Reyes and the distribution of good for the residents.
The CPE B went home at almost 3:00 pm bringing home the joy and
experience of making other people happy.
