Day 2 Tasks

The document discusses strategies for facilitating transitions in the classroom. It identifies using color groups to transition students from circle to activity areas as an effective strategy. Having students line up by the door to transition from class to other locations sometimes causes problems, as students argue about who gets to stand in the front. Suggestions are made to change color groups weekly and have separate boys and girls lines to promote positive behavior during transitions.

function of the
transitions

Identify the
strategies that is
facilitate these
transitions

Comment on the
success of these
strategies

From the circle

area to the
activities area

The teacher said

the color of the
group or the table
and then the
students move
from the circle
area to their group
according to their
color

This strategy is
work successfully
because all the
students be
attention and
listen to their
teacher that what
color that the
teacher said

From the class

to the swimming
or to the library
or to the
assembly

The teacher said

line up next to
the door and all
the students make
the line

It does not work

every time
because
sometimes the
children want to
stand in the first or
the front and
someone come
and say I want to
be first and here
begins the
problem

Make suggestions
and modified these
transitions for
promote positive
behavior and
minimize the
incidence of
challenging
behavior
The teacher
should change
every week the
colors of the
groups that the
students are there.
For example, if the
group 1 is there
color was red so
next time will be
blue and the next
week will be
yellow and so on
I suggest that the
teacher should
make the line up
one for the boys
and the other one
for the girls
