Ce Boards Strength Torsion

This document contains summaries of multiple documents related to analyzing stresses and torques on concentric springs and compound shafts. The summaries include calculations of maximum loads and stresses on springs, reactions and angles of twist on shafts loaded with different torques. Materials properties and dimensions are provided to calculate stresses not exceeding permissible limits.

A load is supported by two concentric steel springs of equal length. The inner spring consists of 30 turns
of 20 mm diameter wire on a mean diameter of 150 mm, while the outer spring has 20 turns of 30 mm
wire on a mean diameter of 200 mm. Use = 83000 MPa.
