Installation
How to install the Template
In order to proceed with the theme installation, you need to make sure you have the latest version of
WordPress on your self-hosted site.
To install this theme you must have a working version
of WordPress already installed. For information on
installing the WordPress platform, please see the
WordPress Codex. Upon downloading the .zip le
from Themeforest, you'll have all les you need
inside. Extract the .zip le and inside you will nd the
theme zip le called PineCone.zip, that is the le
you need to install.
Follow the steps below to install theme:
Navigate to Appearance > Themes.
Click Add New then Upload Theme.
Click Choose File and Navigate to nd the PineCone.zip le on your computer and click Install Now button.
The theme will be uploaded and installed.
Activate the newly installed theme. Go to Appearance > Themes and Activate the installed theme.

I have include the exported XML le from our demo, this allows you to quickly set up your theme the same way
our demo is set up. Please note, the XML le does not include images or the slider data. See the slider sections
of this documenation to set up the sliders.
Follow the steps below to import Demo Data XML File:
Navigate to WP Admin > Tools > Import
Select and install WordPress importer
Once its installed, select the XML le and upload it. It can take a few minutes to install and upload all
content.

Install plugins

This theme comes bundled with next plugins:

Portfolio Installer plugin for theme portfolio and lters

Click Begin Installing Plugins link after themplate activation. Install all required plugins by clicking Install

Setting Up
Assigning Front page and Posts page
To set one of the pages you have create as a Homepage and Blog:
Go to Settings > Reading
Select A static page
For Front page select the page you want in the select box.
For Post page select the page you want as Blog. If no demo
content is uploaded you will need to create a new page.

Portfolio
Creating and adding Portfolio items

To create Portfolio Page:

Go to Dashboard -> Pages -> Add New
Give your Page Title, ll up the Text Field.
Select Page template in Page Attributes as
Portfolio 3/4 columns and Full Width.

To create Portfolio Item:

Go to Dashboard -> Portfolio -> Add New
Give your Portfolio Title, ll up the Text Field.
Assign Featured Image wich will show as Portfolio Thumbnail on Portfolio Page.
Choose Filters or add new.

For Portfolio Page with template

Portfolio you can use next options:
Select portfolio categories choose
portfolio categories to display on
current page.
Show lters show or not lters
with categories on top of page.

Adding images to Portfolio Item Page

If you want to create beautiful Portfolio Item Page you have to add images in visual text editor as Gallery

To create Images Gallery:

Click Add Media button near visual editor.
Choose Create Gallery mode and drag and
drop images to Media Library Window.
Click Create a new gallery button

Use next setting for better

Portfolio view in Gallery Editor:
Link to - Media File
Columns - 1...4
Size - Full Size

Dont forget to add Caption for each image in Gallery Editor. You also can combine galleries with
dierent column sizes on Portfolio Item Page.

Portfolio Item Page settings

For each page you can use this settings:

Display Title Show or not Title in
portfolio page.

Recent items on single portfolio view tuned

on you can use Recent Works Options:
Categories to display checkbox with
FIlters to display for Recent Works on
current Item Page. Default is All
Show lters display lter switcher.

Image Options of Portfolio Item:

Disable Resize in Slider Enable this
checkbox if you want to show image in
Portfolio Single Item page inside Slider Gallery
with real size.
Show Featured Image (Lightbox) on Click in
Portfolio Showing full size featured image
in Lightbox on Portfolio Page without opening

Inside Porftolio page you can use this

settings:
Gallery style Slider or Tiled gallery
for images uploaded below.
Gallery images choose images
from gallery or upload via wordpress
system window.
Custom URL URL for redirection by
clicking this item in Portfolio Page.
Video URL link to Youtube or
Vimeo video for popup window by
clicking this item in Portfolio Page.

You can use the same options in Portfolio Single page and Blog page ( in case Post Format as
"Gallery")

Blog
Creating and adding Blog posts

To create Blog Page:

Go to Dashboard -> Pages -> Add New
Give your Page Title
Text in visual editor eld will be ignored.
Assign Page with Post page in Settings > Reading.

Blog Page settings

If you assign Blog page with Post page in setting then all current page settings will be ignored. For Blog Page
Setup use Theme Options.

Creating Blog posts

To create Blog post:

Go to Dashboard -> Posts -> Add New
Give your Page Title
Type text in visual editor eld and add Images or
Galleries
Assign Featured Image wich will show as Post
Thumbnail on Blog Page.
Choose Categories or add new.

Post Page settings

For each page you can use this settings:

Gallery style Slider or Tiled gallery
for images uploaded below.
Gallery images choose images
from gallery or upload via wordpress
system window.

Page Sidebar settings will be ignored. For Blog Page sidebar use Theme Options.

Menu
Setting up new Menus

Follow the next steps to dene menu for template Header:

Go to Dashboard -> Appearance -> Menus.
Add Pages as Menu Items or Subitems.
Assign Menu with Header Menu in Menu Settings.
Click Save Menu button.

Follow the next steps to dene menu for Footer:

Go to Dashboard -> Appearance -> Widgets.
Choose Footer Sidebar.
Drag and drop Custom Menu Widget to Footer Sidebar.
Select Menu in Custom Menu Widget.
Click Save button.

You can nd Footer Sidebar 1 1/2, Footer Sidebar 2 1/2 and Footer Sidebar Full Width in
Template Widgets page, use Theme Options to dene wich one show in Footer

Theme Options
Global settings
This template comes with a theme options panel, which is packed with a lot of useful options, that let you
easily customize the theme, without having to manually change anything in the source les. The options panel
is found under the Theme Options of your WordPress admin panel menu or in Dashboard -> Appearance ->
Theme Options

It contains ve main tabs aggregated by sections: Header, Blog Options, Portfolio Options, Typography and
General Options.
After all changes you have to click Save Changes button for apply settings.

Header

Header logo:
Upload here your own graphic logo. Better use transparent PNG image.

Logo text:
If you dont have own graphic logo you can type Logo text in this eld and it will shows on Template Header.
Enable logo animation on hover:
On or O animation during mouse hover on logo (rotate 3 degrees and small turn right animation).
Favicon:
Upload favicon here. Use 16x16 pixels PNG image or ICO le.

Logo top/bottom margin:

If your logo image too big or looks jammed in header you can use this elds to adjust top and bottom logo
image margins in pixels.
Logo width:
Set here your logo width in pixels if you want use high resolution logo for mobile devices or Retina displays.

Enable header menu:

You can turn O your header menu. For example: if you want use website as single page.

Submenu width in Header menu:

This template provides custom submenu width in pixels for better visualisation. If you have long text in
your submenu use this slider.

Header and Footer Overlay Backgound:

Big image for background in overlay layer in top contacts or bottom.

Blog Options

Blog main page:

Dene your Blog page. Uses for better navigation in Blog Posts.

Blog page title:

Title for Blog Page, default is Blog.

Blog layout:
Blog Sidebar position Left or Right. Also Blog Posts, 404 Page, Search, Archives sidebar position.

Blog Page post words trim:

How many words show in Blog Page in article preview. Standard is 60.

Relates Posts:
Show or hide related posts in Single Post footer.

Hide comments for all posts:

You can hide all comments for all Posts Pages. Default is Show.

Share buttons and title:

Social Share buttons in bottom of your page and title.

Portfolio Options

Portfolio main page:

Dene your Portfolio page. Uses for better navigation in Projects or Portfolio Items.
Portfolio number of items to display:
How many items show in portfolio page before scrolling or next items innite loading.
Portfolio navigation on single Page:
On or O Portfolio navigation buttons on single item page.

Recent Projects on single Page:

On or O recent works on Portfolio Item Page. You can dene Filters and Items in Portfolio Item Page
Settings.
Recent Projects title:
Title for portfolio recent items, default is Recent Projects.
Portfolio Recent Projects number of items to display:
How many Recent Project display in single portfolio page.
Recent Projects Full Width:
Full width for recent portfolio projects thumbs in single item page.
Portfolio Recent Projects Columns Number:
Choose between 2, 3 or 4 columns for recent projects in portfolio item page. (only if Full Width OFF)
Innite scroll:
You can turn O innite scroll for Portfolio Page and use Load More button.
Share buttons and title:
Social Share buttons in bottom of your page and title.

Typography

Google Fonts:
You can choose one or few Google Font here and use it for text, manu, logo and headers in template.

After choosing Google Font click checkbox with Font Width and click Update Options button,
then you can use this font.

Main and Links Color:

Main color and links on all pages of template.

Body Font, Menu Font, Logo Font, H1-H6 Headers Font:

Sets of parameters for fonts, colors, style and weight.

General Options

Page preloader:
Enable or disable loading animation for page.

Super Header:
Enable Super Header Draggable widgets area.

Super Footer:
Enable Super Footer Draggable widgets area.

Super Footer always open:

Always show Super Footer opened.

Custom CSS:
To prevent problems with theme update, write here any custom css.

Analytics code:
Put here your Google Analytics script code or any Java Script.

Theme Widgets
Custom Widgets
This template comes with custom widgets: Author Widget, Contacts Widget, Flickr Widget, Social Widget,
Map Widget and Recent Posts.

Author Widget settings:

Fill eld Widget Title - Header for Author widget.
Type Author ID - ID number of displaying author, often 1
is admin.
Click Save button.

Author Widget will take information from User Prole elds Dashboard > Users.

Social Widget settings:

Fill eld Widget Title - Header for Social icons widget.
Type full url link to selected to display social networks.
Icons for next services: Twitter, Facebook, Skype,
Instagram, YouTube, Vimeo, Dribbble, Behance, Flickr,
Dropbox, Google+, Pinterest, SoundCloud, GitHub,
LinkedIn, XING, RSS.
Click Save button.

Recent Posts Widget settings:

Fill eld Widget Title - Header for Recent Posts widget.
Type Item Numbers - count of ID number of how many
Recent Posts items to show.
Click Save button.

Contacts Widget settings:

Fill eld Title - Header for your Contacts widget.
Type Text - to show above contacts.
Type Address, Email, Phone.
Click Save button.

Map Widget settings:

Fill eld Title - Header for your Map widget.
Type Address - to show pinned point on map.
Click Save button.

Page Builder by ThemeWorm

Plugin Explanation

Simple Page builder is useful plugin for adding text, images, galleries and video to your Portfolio, Blog or Single
page. It is not visual composer but easy way to build beautiful pages.

add Video element, selfhosted or link (Youtube, Vimeo)

add Gallery element, slider gallery, tiled or masonry
add Text element
show wordpress Visual Editor for adding style, paragraph or links
Save order

Please remember this algorithm to make your work with website more productivity:
Click add Element (Text, Video, Gallery).
Fill in leds and set parameters if you need.
Click Save and Close.

Save and Close button saves your current Page Builder information and you dont need
click Save again.

First eld - Element Title
(used only for names in
builder).
Text - HTML or plain text to
show on your Page.
Text columns count - 1 or 2
columns for Text.
Font size - select your font size
if you want to override default
size.
Line height - choose line
height for Text.
Font and Background Color choose your color for Text and
its background.
Padding - type padding in
pixels for Text element.
