Introduction
What is a Mechatronics System?
- Basic Definitions:
Mechatronics is defined as the
synergistic
integration
of
mechanical engineering, with
electronics
and
intelligent
computer control in the design
and manufacturing of industrial
products and processes.
Mechatronics is classified into ten technical areas: Motion Control,
Robotics, Automotive Systems, Intelligent Control, Actuators and
Sensors, Modeling and Design, System Integration, Manufacturing,
Micro Devices and Optoelectronics, and Vibration and Noise control.

Introduction
What is a Mechatronics System?
- Historical Perspective:
-The name "Mechatronics" was originated in 1969 by senior
engineer Tetsura Mori.
-In 1970, Yaskawa applied to make this word a registered
brand and got the rights in 1973. But, at that time this term
didnt gain much popularity.
-After the 1980s, the term started gaining popularity because
of its useful features.

Testing and Instrumentation
Verification and Validation
Verification is the testing of
the software and product to
make sure that it is built to the
design.
Validation, on the other hand,
is to make sure the software
or product is built to the
requirements from the
customer
Debuggers
A debugger is a software program that allows a view of what is
happening with the program code and data while the program is
executing.
