Week 1. Mathematics in the School & My Classroom.

Examine the table of contents for the math textbook used at your Teaching Practice
Placement.
As I observed on my TP, my MST uses McGraw-Hill Education (My Math) to teach the
students.
o How does the content align with the CCSS for your grade level?
The students book includes various topics, the first unit talk about concept of
adding and subtraction then the student will move to numbers pattern, after that
the student will be able to learn more about addition and subtraction because they
or ready know the concept of each one then they will be able to learn place value
because they or ready know ones and tens. As I observed the content of the
student book I think it really has a connection between the lesson and the
standard, also I think its a good order of each lesson because each one related to
the next one. I think it easy for a student to understand the lesson and its a good
resource for the grade 2.

Observe the math classroom arrangement (desks, shelves, materials, walls, etc.) Take
pictures to post in your portfolio.

Post the typical weekly schedule for one group of students for all their classes.

Examine your MSTs lesson plans. Take pictures or collect samples to post in your portfolio.
o How does she write plans for the week?

My MST meets another teacher to prepare the lesson plan for the week also, to includes how
many lesson they will teach in this week, she dependent to a plan of ministry education then she
gives it to the principal to write her comment in it and to sign on it.
o For the semester?
The ministry of education prepares plan the lessons for teachers then the teacher will follow the
plan.
