Install the product in a secure location. Falling of the product may result in
damage to the product or personal injury.
Only use the AC adaptors and power cables designated for the product.
Always use regular voltage. Overvoltage may cause damage to the product and
increase the risk of fire. Be sure to use the appropriate voltage (100 - 240V).
Do not place any heavy items on top of the product. It increases the chance of
malfunction, and falling of such objects may result in damage to the product or
personal injury.
Maintain at least 15 cm distance from the wall and the product, and do not
place anything in between. The products internal temperature may rise and
coming in contact may result in a burn.
Do not use damaged power cables. It increases the chance of electrocution and
fire.
Do not disassemble, repair or modify the product.
Do not block the ventilation intake under the product or put anything into the
ventilation intake. It may damage internal parts and increases the chance of fire
or electrocution.
Do not touch the power plug with wet hands. Be cautious of moisture entering
the interior of the system from liquid near the installation area.
Make sure to connect the power cord to a grounded wall outlet. Failing to do so
may result in electric shock or injury.
Place the power supply plug somewhere with easy access. Unplug to
completely turn the power off if product problems occur. The power button on
the desktop does not completely turn off the power supply.

This analyzer is for experienced medical personnel, such as doctors and clinical
pathologists.
Avoid any outer impact when analyzing blood samples.
Do not open the covers while an analysis is being performed. The analysis
automatically stops if the cover is opened during an analysis.
Do not place liquid drugs, cups or containers with water near the product.
Do not place the product in an area with gas. Prevent any liquid from entering
the analyzer. If the analyzer gets wet, unplug the power and request that it be
serviced.
Wear gloves at all times to prevent the possibility of infection.
Do not move the analyzer in the middle of an analysis.
Always use designated power cables and AC adapters. Do not unplug the
device in the middle of an analysis.
When inserting cartridges, be careful not to insert the cartridge upside down.
If the product malfunctions, do not disassemble the product on your own.
Contact your dealer or Samsung Electronics Technical Support.
If the analyzer stops working due to situations such as a power failure, throw
away the cartridge and use a new cartridge.
Make sure that the QRcodes on the cartridges are not erased. Erased QRcodes
may result in abnormal analysis.
If you wish to stop the analysis in progress without turning the analyzer off,
press the Cancel button and stop the analysis. After stopping an analysis in
progress, throw away the cartridge and replace it with a new one.
The operating temperature of the analyzer is +15C - +32C; the analyzer

Intended use
The Samsung LABGEO PT10 is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of
clinical chemistry analytes in lithium-heparinized whole blood, plasma and serum.
Use only the Samsung LABGEO PT reagent cartridge with the Samsung LABGEO PT10
analyzer. Refer to package insert for detailed information.
If the Samsung LABGEO PT10 analyzer is used in any way other than described in this
manual, the analyzer may not operate as intended, may produce inaccurate or no
result, and may pose a safety hazard.
Analysis principle
The colorimetry used in the detection portion of the cartridge reacts to enzymes,
substrates, special proteins, ion selective electrolytes in the blood, and changes in
color. The analyzers photometric detector detects the photometric changes caused
by color changes.
When the specimen is injected into the cartridges specimen inlet, the specimen
moves into the cartridge. Once injected into the cartridge, the specimen moves
to the detection part of the cartridge, which is covered with reagents, through a
microscopic fluidic structure. Then, it reacts with the reagents and changes color.
The photometric detector measures the changes in absorbance after a certain
period of time, depending on the analytes, and calculates the analysis results.
Every step of the analysis process takes place within the analyzer, and the analyzer
maintains a constant temperature during an analysis to create the reaction.

Care instructions for analyzer device
When the surface of the analyzer unit is contaminated, wipe off the contaminant
with a soft cloth.
2. Put on gloves and wet a soft cloth with distilled water or 30% isopropyl
alcohol and gently wipe the surface of the plunger pad. Wipe off all residue
of the specimen from the plunger pad.
Infections from specimen residue on the plunger pad are possible. Please wear gloves
at all times when handling the plunger pad.
146
LABGEO_T10_EN.indb 146
2012-10-16 PM 1:37:38
Foreign substances such as dust may cause lower compression performance and less
accurate results. Therefore, all dust must be removed from the plunger pad.
3. After cleaning, wipe the plunger pad with a dry cloth. Make sure that it is
completely dry, and attach it back on the plunger arm.
We recommend that you replace the plunger pad every six months regardless of
frequency of use.

2012-10-16 PM 1:37:39
If there is blood residue from the specimen or any contaminants in the cartridge
inlet, remove the contaminant using a soft cloth.
Use 30% isopropyl alcohol if necessary. Do not use highly corrosive agents such
as benzene or acetone. These agents may damage the product.
When using alcohol, do not apply the alcohol directly on the device. Pour a small
amount on a tissue and wipe the device.
Store the device on a flat surface. Avoid dust, moisture, chemical materials,
combustible gas, and direct sunlight.
