A witch curses a cruel prince, turning him into a beast until he learns to love and be loved in return. The beast imprisons Belle's father and offers to let him go in exchange for Belle living with the beast. Over time, Belle and the beast fall in love as she helps him become less selfish. When Belle realizes she loves the beast, the curse is broken and he transforms back into a prince. The Broadway musical Beauty and the Beast, based on the fairy tale, premiered in 1994 and won multiple Tony awards including Best Musical.

Synopsis
A witch changes a cruel and mean prince into
a ugly beast. The beast captures Belles (a
pretty booklover) father. Belle tries to rescue
him but the only way is to exchange her life
for his. So she starts living in the place with
the beast. Gaston a self centered person
wants her hand in marriage but Belle wants
nothing to do with him. While Belle is living in
the place her and the beast become closer
and closer. They finally fall in love and the
beast transform into a human.
