Reflection On Teaching Practice

The student encountered problems preparing for their lesson, including not receiving enough help from the Arabic teacher and being unable to contact the English teacher. They solved these issues by changing the subject to English and obtaining the English teacher's contact information from the administration. Overall, the lesson went well though the student was nervous about forgetting something. They would make more interactive activities for next time so the students better learn the material. Their goal is to be a good teacher's assistant remembered by the school community.

Reflection on teaching practice



What problems did you encounter while you were preparing for the lesson? How did
you solve them? The problems that I faced were, 1- I wanted to teach Arabic but the Arabic
teacher didnt give me enough help. 2- While I was planning for the lesson I needed to ask
questions but the English teacher had a meeting. But I solved these problems by changing
the Arabic subject to English, and for the second problem I took the English teacher number
from the administration.

Did you do your lesson planning the way your MST did hers? Yes, I did.
In what ways did you do it differently? By doing a colorful poster of Alphabetic words so
that the students could circle the letter that I taught.
In what ways was your work or process similar? My work was similar to the teachers
plan by making them listen to song of sounds and hokey pokey sound for them to be
energetic in class, and showing them flashcards.

What do you think of your lesson as whole? I think that the lesson went well and I did
what I had to do in the lesson plan but the problem that I faced that I was a bit scared about
forgetting something.
What did you like most about your lesson? Why? What I liked about my lesson was how
the kids interacted with me and made me finish the lesson in peace.
What would you change if you had a chance to teach this lesson over again?
To be more active with the students and make more activities so that the kids will leave the
class knowing what they have been taught.

What is one goal you would like to set for yourself for next Teaching Practice? My goal
is to be a good teacher student and to be remembered by the whole school staff and
students.
What actions are you going to take today to help you reach your goals in the future?
The actions that Ill take are: help the teacher in class with students as much as possible,
communicate well with the school staff and students.
